Opening track >What I Do< introduces the EP on a poignant note with its sombre keys and emotive vocal flourishes without forsaking any of the force at its fingertips, driven by the bubbling subs and electric midrange. >Fall< then sweeps in on a lush bed of glistening keys, soft vocal flourishes and a skipping drum line before crashing back down to earth with waves of warping bass tones blasting through the low end of the track. Counterpointed by the soaring synth notes that flicker above, Mydas balances the light and dark elements brilliantly.
Next, ‘If I Ever’ builds atmosphere with its smooth drum shuffle and crystalline chords, swelling into the track’s release with bright synth flourishes, smooth bass notes and a hollow snare crack that keeps it firmly anchored on the dance floor Mydas then takes on Antiserum & 12th Planet’s collab ‘Purple & Gold’ flipping the colourful synths from the original and funnelling them through the maniacal waves of bass that run through the track.
