Hugo Barritt was a promoter at Londons infamous Egg venue, during which time he focused his attention on Robert Owens residency at the club. A friendship was struck up and when Hugo finally decided to leave to concentrate on production he could think of no-one better to provide the vocals to You Are than the most recognisable voice in dance music, Mr Owens himself.Befitting such a wonderful coupling, Efdemin heard the track and agreed immediately to provide the remix,and a splendidly slick ride it is too, taking the merest hints of Roberts vocal whilst injecting a melodic feel for a blissed out ride through the early hours. Contrast that with high octane thrills of murmur regular Tom Demacs remix - dispensing with the subtleties of the original in favour of a power house ride of beats and bass, warping Roberts vocal into something altogether sleazier.
