Extremely welcome reissue of one of the shining stars of the boogie firmament - the hugely funky >Its You Thats Happening< from little known band Exquisite Taste. Originally released on tiny New York label Starlite back in 1984, this was Exquisite Tastes only output but what the band lacked in quantity they made up for in quality. A near-perfect example of that early 80s boogie sound, this has it all - insistent mesmerising Moog synth riffs, clean crisp percussion, layers of summery vibes and superb catchy vocals combine to make this an unstoppable dancefloor sensation. And thats just the vocal... on the flip, the instrumental is stunning with a sparser arrangement which highlights the grooving bassline, funky guitar work and echoing hypnotic drumwork. With the original 12” virtually impossible to get hold of, this quality reissue is an absolute must-have!
