The lead single from the remarkable forthcoming album from Maceo Plex has arrived. ‘Vibe Your Love’ is a truly beautiful piece of house music which captures the essence and energy of the forthcoming album, complete with a sumptuous remix from Wolf + Lamb’s Zev.

Maceo Plex is the House Music production pseudonym of the highly acclaimed and well-respected Techno producer Eric Estornel AKA Maetrik (Cocoon / Audiomatique). Having release a plethora of singles over the past 10 years on various key, taste-making labels, Eric, under his Maceo Plex moniker release’s his first single and forthcoming album ‘Life Index’ on Crosstown Rebels. Maceo Plex allows Eric to push the production envelope further, embracing a more cosmic funk sound that sits within the paradigm of his house music aesthetic. The emergence of such an entity has been the result of a need for feeling, a need for interplanetary funk.

The first single from the album is ‘Vibe Your Love’, a mesmerizing sonic journey filled with serenity… an intergalactic experiment with a deeply organic approach that exudes pure class!

Zev strengthens the soulful veins of ‘Vibe Your Love’ in his ‘Southern Sunrise’ rework. As one half of Wolf + Lamb, he shares much in common with this musical style. His version is equally evocative and yet more imaginative, its dreamy vocal creating a sense of awe.

Maceo Plex’s musical creativity began its evolution in 1993, heavily influenced by the sounds of other modern funk theorists such as Model 500, Kenny Larkin, Idjut Boyz, Convextion, and more. He soon grew into a technologically advanced being later to be known by various names such as Mariel Ito or Maetrik and appearing on prolific labels including Treibstoff, Dumb Unit, Cocoon, Audiomatique, Modern Love and Mothership. Now in 2010, Maceo has begun to strip back some of his robotic body armor known as Maetrik in order to expose a more musical and groove based side the world has not seen yet exclusively for Crosstown Rebels
