Yo everyone !!!

Ten years ago (an eternity nowadays) we put out the first cassius track ever.
It was called "Cassius 99" and it was the first single from our debut album "1999".It was also one of our biggest hits.
It's ten years later now and knowing we have our own label and own our back catalogue we absolutely couldn't resist putting it out again as some kind of "10th anniversary release".
Resistance to remix it was weak so we remastered the original and asked producers we really appreciated to give it a go and do their own version of this oldie/goldie.
Finally it's gonna be the first of a series of "Cassius Gold" : tracks that we're gonna put out again, always remastered and remixed by fresh, crisp and talented people.
For "99" we first asked a young man whose records we played all last year ... from the UK: Mr Tim Green !!!
We don't think it's really necessary to introduce this young gifted house maniac because his sound is really special and very recognisable which is something we can't really resist at Cassius Records.
He really nailed his version. We've played it for a while now and it's a real house music track that can be played as a first track, as a last one and at full peak time.
Second and second to none we asked our friends and unofficial Cassius Records remixers from Milan; The Reset! to have a go.
After the fantastic remix they did of "Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes"... The Reset! men did it again... and did it with a vengeance !
It's even funkyer, dirtyer,crazyer and more powerfull than the Y.S.T.C one, and also again very peak time...
Both remixes we love and we're proud of. They really epitomise the sound of Cassius Records, they also respect and emphasize this old song of ours... it was not an easy task and this team of one Englishman and four Italian ragazzi really made this idea of "Cassius Gold" come to life. For this we salute them and throw our hats at their enthusiasm and talent !!!!
For those about to dance to "99" 10 years on, we salute you !!
This is the first of the "Cassius Gold" series and during the next few months you'll have more. From "The Sound of Violence" to "My Feeling for You" via "La Mouche" and "Toop Toop", always very well accompanied of course.
In between on Cassius Records you'll get some of our new stuff, the one we're currently working on and the one which is steel but not yet gold - the one reason why sometimes our studio feels like a furnace. Hopefully thanks to Cassius Records you can be sure that you'll have those songs still burning hot. Produced, mixed, masterered and delivered in the shortest of time.It should be soon and the next could be about a shark...
In the meantime enjoy "Cassius 99" like it was 1999.
