Transformed in Dub. The dub album to Transform I with unheard deep and dusty mixes from the Dubkasm studio.

Dubkasm is a UK and Brazil-based roots reggae/dub outfit from Bristol, England. Formed in 1994 by Digistep (producer and musician) and DJ Stryda (co-ordinator/promoter), their debut release in 1996 was 'Chemical Reaction Dub' on Nubian Records' 'Dub Out West' compilation series (NRLP15). Since then they have released nine records on their own Sufferah's Choice Recordings label (named after DJ Stryda's well-established Bristol radio show) and received consistent radio and soundsystem play. Digistep, currently living in Brazil, is also known as a session saxophonist in the roots/dub scene, and Shanti-Ites band's hornsman. Dubkasm has collaborated with UK producers and artists including Ras Bandele Selassie, Ras Addis, Ras Xylon (Lidj Inc.), Aba Shanti-I , Iration Steppas, Disciples, Ras Iyah, Levi Roots, Idren Natural, Tena Stelin and Afrikan Simba, and aims to push out a positive message through quality roots and dub reggae productions.
"With the success of last year's Transform I by Dubkasm, the arrival of the versioned album was highly anticipated and it does not disappoint. Building the tracks in Brazil producer Digistep draws from the deep well of his local roots, layering elements of samba, batucada whilst back in Bristol, UK DJ Stryda pulls in rootical heavy weights such as Dub Judah and Tena Stelin to imbue the tracks with some righteous authenticity to produce one of the finest of the finest home-grown dub albums for many a year; and it's an album that stands repeated listens through the whole set as against cherry-picking the killer tracks, but There's A Dub is beautifully constructed in an early 1980s style with judicious use of Syndrum, plangent plucked guitar and lovely loping rhythm whilst the final track This Man Was Born There is an unadorned Dub Judah vocal except for sounds of the weather and forest with nyahbinghi drums."
