After seeing the banging >Red Hot< - her first released production - become the all-favorite track on Airdrops Extraction US compilation, it is a natural step for Connie to slip once again into her Constar outfit, and release this time her first record, the Sunset Tribe EP. Here, Constar does what she does best, take her clan on a ride through different skylines, from the shores of Bali in Indonesia to the Chinese inland mountains. Indeed, in Sunset Tribe the careful listener will hear parts of a Kecak ceremony - pronounced KEH-chahk , also known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant - a form of Balinese musical drama, that roots in a traditional trance-inducing exorcism dance. A piece usually performed by a circle of hundreds of men percussively chanting cak while throwing up their arms, depicting a battle between the monkey Vanara and the evil King Ravana... Phoenixxx strikes the cord! Using elements and melodies of traditional Chinese instruments, the Pipa, Guzheng and Erhu, Constar takes our journey even further East. Allying a bumpy and light-hearted groove to the depth and gravity of the instruments used, Constar also offers an exploration into her balanced mind and soul. Bringing the witchcraft even further, who better than the craziest wizard-duo electronic music has ever come across, Voodeux! Celebrating the release of their debut album on Mothership, Voodeux - aka Tanner Ross and James Watts - create their very own blend of magic potion that no spirit - good or bad - could resist. Simply spellbinding and savage, Voodeux know the cerebrums fluids inside out, and will work them through their supernatural enchantments!

DJ Feedback:

Alland Byallo (Nightlight)
Excellent stuff. Will play the original more, but the production quality of the Voodeux mix is otherworldly. Those guys know their technical sht!

Christian Martin (Dirtybird)
Both versions are great, but the break in the Voodeux remix is just amazing.
