First up is Texan bad boy BRETT JOHNSON whose recent mixes and productions on his own Aesoteric label have been rocking the scene in a big way. Here, his Spring Bump mix of ‘Generations’ strips it all down to the bare bones adding boompty beats for maximum bounce. This is basically a fat beat, a bassline and some Rhodes chords but what more do you need when it grooves this hard? Flip over for the Mr FINGERS remix of ‘Searching’ which sees the legend himself LARRY HEARD tweak the original into an epic ambient house track with an old school twist.
