The second part of the pack comes within a quantity of the last 100 copies that had been lost for a long time from the formerly New Yorkian CASEY HOGAN, who got high recommendations in 2002 by London's JOCKS Magazine and San Francisco based URB magazine for bridging the classic rooted Techno/Dub divide at that time (!) like a colossus. Casey Hogan´s logical debut on cologne´s imprint PSYCHO THRILL surely proved in gathering many fans. Not so far apart from his former releases on Sonic Groove, Intrinsic, Ritual, Immigrant and Macintosh, „Redshift" features four smokin´ dub-tech rollercoasters in a sublime strong way, as we know this interesting electronica-layer from American West Coast releases on Grayhound, Tango, Transport or Leaf and others. Hogan´s powerful production skills and his keen sense of the special NYC East Coast groove set him apart from other contemporary tech-house producers. „Redshift" combines rounded bass loops, deep atmospheric late night dubs and funky driving kicks with New York City´s own unmistakable dub-tech-wave, that floats your boat, while the fifth – previously unreleased “DC330” puts the 12-inch finally into contemporary and serious electrofied Dub-Step filets. Therefore, picking up a copy of this limited release should be an absolute must. So all tracks are the efficient mark of a seasoned producer and DJ, attuned to just the right subtle and timeless shifts and structures that get the club crowd moving anywhere.

The third part of the pack consists of Berlin Techno legend JONZON's comeback 2nd part and is nothing less than a raw, unashamed documentation of the traditional Berlin Techno, which already could not have been done better in the mid 90s. Tracks like "Make Up" and "See The Light" are easily attaining the maturity level of a serene lifetime achievement on this vinyl strictly limited to 300 copies, where a chilly Techno-like sound architecture is being enriched with many impressionistic sound sketches, finally providing the floor with a lot of vibrations and Techno Funk, which is suddenly promising another bright outlook for the future of not only Jonzon, by being such a great pitch out of nowhere.

And finally FLEXTRONICS “Old Boy Needs A Dirty Rave” definately guarantees more than 25 minutes of extraordinary rough, twisted Techstep and UK Garage by that cool Tempo90 D-N-B veteran and also EIGHT::FX UK label actor, who is delivering one floor slammer after another until even the last dance grouch needs to check into a hospital due to a spasm while nodding his head. The world does perish in his funky way - here, this is to be meant in a true and Hard Wax friendly sense - but simply being UK-funky. With even more big time bass lines and variable sounds than on his EIGHT::FX releases, which we are used to from his trailblazers like Scuba, Peverelist, Ramadanman, Joe or Untold. Being far beyond the purity law of Dub Step and therefore even more gripping on its floor effect, which holds a sensationally sheer nature of detonation and seems to arise directly from the gutters in the darkest ghetto right into the tiers of the clubs. There can't go anything wrong with this one! And Flextronic has just cut a masterpiece with his debut on the Psycho Thrill sub-imprint Sky's Ablaze. Incredible, but sure true!
