for our fifth release we invited four of our favorite producers to take turns in remixing ken karter’s latest ep on our label. stanislav tolkachev, inland, alfredo mazzilli and array access all managed to apply their own characteristic sound, resulting in a remix ep that could not be more versatile.

despite his low profile, ken karter might be one of berlin s most influential artists in the techno scene. karter is known as a mastering engineer for the seminal m_rec ltd, however his own productions have gone largely unnoticed until his 2015 ep on stroboscopic artefact’s monad series. his ep turned heads and gained him well-deserved attention. two years later, his follow-up ep on escapism exemplifies his focus on quality over quantity. his passion for mathematical formulas combined with his intricate knowledge of sound created an outstanding record set to satisfy both fans of experimental and dancefloor techno.

“inverso” is the new vinyl sub-label of kript records, whose concept is based on the meaning that the word assumes in different fields, in mathematics for example the “inverso” ratio means that the product of the variables always remain constant. but the word “inverso” is also a concept that leads to an exact opposite of what it assumes. these two meanings of the word “inverso” inspire all the tracks of the label, characterized by a -noisy and distorted- sound, where symmetry and asymmetry live together and where analog source and analog processing give a great touch of depth.

kript 432 hz ep is composed by three tracks: two experimental and one techno set in the middle of the vinyl. it arises with the aim to reveal a theme which has been investigated since many years both by the musical and scientific theory: the universal frequency (432 hz).

after the first release on vinyl, resiliens recordings presents an ep that makes us want to know exactly what the label is aiming for and where it is coming from. ken karter (kript records) shows three masterpieces of electronic music combined with the more primitive techno. we are talking about the future!
