nice price deal !!! for almost a decade now, lovemonk has been releasing classy music and this new 12 inch is no exception. damian schwartz – who has previously released on the likes of oslo, apnea, bass culture and hypercolour as well as running his own a harmless deed imprint featuring producers like marcos cabral and dj f - presents a new two track ep that continues in that good tradition.

after a couple of essential releases under the pseudonym “epiphany” in labels such as ahd or semantica, damian schwartz is back with his second full length album. an incredible piece of work highly influenced by detroit and ny’s house and techno sound.
damian schwartz and jonas kopp, two old friends and part of the esperanza family come back to the label to deliver a split ep full of deepness and dubby yet summerish feeling. a side, hidden house its the deep cut of the record with a huge detroit feeling, analog synths, melodies, pads. chords, strings. jonas track on the b side is a great tool we have been using for years already, 100% his own unique stlyle of dubby techno. must have!
the next musical offering from no.19 comes in the form of robot heart. a record almost destined to be a classic before its creation. this is the same robot heart that burners chase through the desert on bikes deep into the playa to partake in one of the worlds most enigmatic events. it s been praised by the likes of rolling stone magazine as one of the best parties on earth and continues to top the lists of dj s lucky enough to play atop the legendary mobile soundsystem..
the faceless artist, the nameless music. based in paris but with soul between chicago and detroit, rhythm& soul releases his first ep on monofunk. a release full of magic and soul , proper of the most respected nouvelle cuisine chefs from the city of love. deep house with jazzy touches and an amazing groove where each track becomes a deep future classic. >la jazzete< perfectly describes rhythm & souls sound identity. elegant drums, perfect melody and a bass line full of soul and three piano musical notes that repeats itself until it finds its way in to your dreams. in >midnight preacher<, r&s takes us to the most soulfull detroit. slowly progresses, with an impact full simplicity, to build up a 100% organic track full of life and plenty of funk. thats dope! damian schwartz (cmyk, apnea, deepdope), is our star guest. damian remixes brilliantly and unexspectable midnight preacher, twisting the track and taking us to the most analogic ghetto, maintaining the elegant melodies of the original track.
after having released >salson< on our 10 years raum compilation already, damian schwartz returns with his first solo single on our label. >pedro< which is also the title of this record is a deep techno track that is based on a hypnotic piano sequence. >badabambu< is more house orientated and like for >salson< damian gets support from guti who has played the synths for this tune. last but not least this release also features a remix of >pedro< by none other than daniel stefanik which is adding some more peak time flavour while still staying close to the original. enjoy !
federico molinari makes a welcome return to tsuba with >south african pesadello<, another sure shot for the dancefloor from the oslo main man. on the aa side damian schwartz delivers one of his finest remixes to date, retaining the trippy elements of the
for our fourth release we decided to take one of our favourite tracks from the discos de lata catalogue and give it to some friends to remix it. the tracks is sour mood by xpansul and damian schwartz.on side a, the capo of the new sond from chicago, billy dalessandro adds all that funk he has, with that remarkable chicago flavour and a subtle touch of acid. a solid track that keeps the hypnotic vibe of the original adding a tension that takes it to peak time territory. on side b, spanish techno master, alex under, joins forces with super talented argentinean producer leo gruenbaum, aka gruenbox, to deliver a piece of strong funky techno. the deep bass and groovy percussions are the foundations for a progression of hypnotic elements that make this a track a sure killer. we love techno!

big support by richie hawtin, ricardo villalobos, paco osuna, marco carola, xpansul, davide squillace... after his summer holidays in miami, damian schwartz has rediscovered his kinky latino side. his new release is a story about futuristic techno, mental and contorted dance music seasoned with a salsa flavour. química afluencia (mupa 006) is the product of the chemistry affecting the brain of an individual for whom the obstacles are unknown, now focusing his talent on a black as night house, bigger and fatter than ever. >1568 drexel av< is a conga battle, full of bitter rhythms and syntethized sounds, friction for best possible dancefloor, the one that is in your brain. *2020 replicates this same adn but in different secuences: tons of sick and nasty grooves that make you sweat like hell. just a few artist have damian schwartzs capacity of going a step further on each one of his releases
already a secret weapon of ricardo villalobos, richie hawtin & paco osuna with the fourth release the still young and succesful label enters the race. this time co-labelowner federico molinari, who already delivered a remix (kreiskollaps) on the first oslo ep, showcases his skills. enerverende is dubby house tool, which slowly develops its effect and finally as a damian schwartz remix takes the hightime direction. the last one is takk brett, which is being carried by cleverly composed vocalbits and percussive elements. it breaks the ground, which oslo is following since the beginning. modern house music.
der laut eigenwerbung beste track von damian schwartz bekommt 2 sonderbehandlungen die sich gewaschen haben. barem & neuentdeckung pilas aus madrid legen eine heiße sohle auf s parkett
resource picking up the ball that peter presta dropped with a solid rendition of the old boston pop hit that takes the originals big hooks and brings them right up and over the kind of floor filling beats and peak hour club production that works overtime to drive the crowd crazy this is going to be huuuuuuuuuge
das cmyk/apnea/minuendo kollektiv erschafft mit mupa ein label das personen oder konzepten tribut zollt. dazu leistet ihm tadeo gesellschaft und ist auf der remixhabenseite zu verbuchen
italian producer piero pirupa’s musical cv is nothing short of impressive. so it’s no surprise that his next production has found a home on damian lazarus’ crosstown rebels, enlisting the vocal talents of new york’s mr.v. influenced by the sounds of 80s and 90s chicago, pirupa worked tirelessly on this ep to reach a version he was happy with. after seeing the reaction from dancefloors around the world, he decided to send it to carl cox and damian lazarus. we must be (the piano track) breathes new life into today’s dance music with a message from a bygone era. it harks back to the golden age of house music with its lush piano topline and positive message sung by mr.v. happiness simply emanates from this production. with lyrics such as “we must be all in this together, we must live to respect one another” and “this is the plan to make us unified” it takes clubbing back to a time when everyone came together on the dancefloor regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or religion.
