kowton and tom dicicco, residing in bristol and manchester respectively, make very different music from one another. kowtons seems to come from house, perhaps also electro and garage, often quite slow in tempo and hard to pin down to a specific genre. toms music is techno, bass heavy, melodic, textured and rooted around 125 bpm. with these distinctive styles the idea of a split ep might seem ambitious, but the result is four cohesive but different tracks that show the talents of both artists perfectly in the format of two originals on one side and two remixes of each others originals on the other. tom diciccos original is driven by a low-mid range thick stab and pounding kick drum, littered with intricate but not overbearing hi hat and snare work and some very atmospheric mid range. kowtons is subtle and sparse, low fidelity and plodding, with rattling percusion carrying the tune along. on the other side of the record, kowtons remix of toms original is driven by an enormous bassline, with an off kilter dubby feel to the slow tempo and genre defying tune. toms remix of kowton rounds off the ep with a return to stab driven techno, pulsating, dynamic and trance inducing.

bxl003 is the third release of the artist-run brussels based label bxl. this third release by simon halsberghe features a collaboration with sagat (real name wiet lengeler), who previously released on the brussels’ label vlek and had his music included in the fabric mixes of both ben klock and joris voorn. the track is called the set-up and is a relentless sawtooth rave tune that finds it’s balance between the heydays of belgian techno and more contemporary ‘hi-fi’ attitudes towards functional yet idiosyncratic dance tracks. on the b-side space tom sounds is a deeper and more hypnotic trip with lush broad pads that provide a space for the mind as well as sonic pressure on the body. the last track, snared, takes things into breakbeat territory. with razor sharp snares and a pulsating baseline this track lives somewhere in the venn diagram overlap between rave, front 242 and an air raid siren going off.

this record has been created as a resource for sample-based music producers and provides a selection of 4/4 grooves and breaks: from minimalist to intricate, straight to swung, and also includes single hits of vintage kicks, snares, hi-hats, toms and cymbals, all recorded at ata records studio a with 1960s analog recording gear onto 2” tape before being mixed and mastered for vinyl. simon allen is the drummer and co-founder of british funk quartet, the new mastersounds. since the band formed in leeds, uk in 1999 he has played drums on all twelve of their studio albums and toured extensively across north america, europe and japan. on his adventures with nms, simon has jammed with funk and soul-jazz legends such as fred wesley, pee wee ellis, maceo parker, art neville, lou donaldson and melvin sparks, as well as fellow drummers bernard purdie and zigaboo modeliste, all of whose music has profoundly influenced his “deep pocket” approach to the drum kit.

under cover for many years, this affie yusuf two tracker finally sees the light of day on the acclaimed mindyourhead imprint. comes on a generally deep green, mixed colour marbled 12’’ vinyl. affie yusuf paved the way uk acid house scene and so much more, releasing techno and acid throughout his career. mindyourhead records recognises that sometimes you need to look a little bit into the past to move ahead and has re-launched the label with this vinyl only release. ‘parrot soup’ is a fine example of just how a track title can have absolutely no relevance to the music whatsoever. this is a lovingly constructed example of how to convey images with sound, this music renders images brimming with joy and loss, icy cold chills and the warmth of the first rays of sun on a spring morning. tight, punchy drums with crisp 808 snares and driving toms lovingly complimented with dream-like pad sequences, soul searching strings and lush bassline form a quality crossover track that will appeal to lovers of many styles of techno and house. ‘something special’ is on a different tip, more driving and direct in style with the ‘everybody…’/ ‘something special’ vocal samples put to great use (need to be heard in context!) and that essential marching ‘affie acid’ bassline. the lead follows a similar pattern to the acid but pulls your head in a slightly different direction leaving the listener suitably twisted!! this proper ‘party acid’ has just the right level of balls to destroy a dancefloor without scaring off the faint of heart. lovely work affie!!

magnetik north is live drum electronics. drum performances are fed through processors, samplers and sequencers to produce layers of rhythmic patterns that interact with each other. other instruments are melted into different textures so that only the harmonic content remains. this is a new project from ian tregoning, engineer and producer for artists as diverse as yello and fela kuti. now working with jaki liebezeit, the legendary drummer from can, to add his endless evolving rhythms. jaki s in a world of his own as he balances technical brilliance with subtle restraint. recording started in the summer 2006 in an old jazz studio in the south of ko&#776,,,,ln. jaki arrived with a minimal drum kit including customised cymbals, a snare and a huge gretsch floor-tom from the can days. all of jaki s performances are complete takes with no drop-ins, loops or edits. the backing tracks for evolver were recorded without using key changes. each song features one key which is held continuously while other instruments and effects are blended with the key. drums (also tuned to the same key) were added last which is another unusual technique. as jaki says they re often overlooked as tuned instruments in their own right . the finished results are a minimal blend of industrial and classical. like listening to a raga in an earthquake.

bordello a parigi has just returned from a fruitful expedition to russia to secure a four tracker from st petersburg synthesizer playboy kito jempere. super sax sounds is a rich and varied expression from an artist who has explored a spread of sounds during his career. the a-side is the product of one diverse machine, the yamaha qy-70. -bueller s dance- gets the show on the road with latin showband flare. the opener brims with cruising notes, crisp claps and smooth bass, a track guaranteed to put a smile on any face. moods change with the tear stained chords of -space commercial-, a superbly subtle work of joy and heartbreak. a colder wind permeates the flip as a cinematic and sinister element enters. toms and snares support the descending bars of -atmosphere-, a track where tropical dreams cloud into despair. those dreams are purged by -tomohawk-, a dark prowler who stalks with a maniacal glint and menacing intent. an audio feast care of kito jempere.

dmt 013 is philippe petit s first and only techno attack for 2017. the record starts with lose yourself (part i) , an atmospheric track with a groovy rhythmic pattern that builds into a menacing acid trip. it continues with one life , using some very clear dubby pads, snare and toms, its underlying baseline bringing a happy feeling to the e.p. lose yourself (part ii) is aggressive and hypnotic at the same time, its intricate structure leading the listener to a state of trance. the record ends with distant memories , a prime time techno cut with several layers of synths to cover all sound frequencies to devastating effect.

the 3 release. 3 artists. 3 solid tracks. rex hansson has made a solid original version. you clearly hear his skills as a past percussionist. the beats together with skånska vocals, low key rhodes and some 303 knob twiddling make this track special and great. emil nyman. this mix is something. it’s tossing and turning from a metallic sound to the softest wood. from the deepest parts of the ocean we follow the pads and organ up in the sky. the b side is dedicated clark eng. a minimal offbeat version with low toms and rattling high sticks, claps and snares. the track is moving like a newcomen engine. the minor changes all the time makes it to a hypnotic minimal house track.

the outside agency have teamed up with permanent label fixture deathmachine once again for yet another solid exercise in kick and snare torture. today’s tomorrow and the violence both serve as deeply philosophical explorations of human nature, with kickdrums and snares.

the man known as dj nature holds a long and illustrious list of releases that spans all the way back to the early 90s, when, as nature boy, the bristol born dj and producer was carving out sample heavy house music for labels like ruff disco records and the underworld affiliated tomato label. his relatively modern re-incarnation, as dj nature, has seen singles and two albums come correct on revered labels like golf channel recordings and jazzy sport. following on from futureboogies landmark 50th release, dj nature drops a heavyweight four track ep on the bristol label, each track promising and delivering summertime vibes in abundance. born lifted, with its deft guitar licks and soulful vocal chops over lazy, hazy beats, is a great example of the nature aesthetics that make his tracks so very popular across the house fraternity. my life picks up the pace, deploying granite hard snares and cosmic chords with dusted vocal samples. on the flip, what it isnt packs some jazz chops with its sampled pianos and saxophone riffs over a discordant beat that swings with the best of them, whilst ep closer loving u more again serves up some delicious summertime grooves with the perfect marriage of deep, funky bass and seductive samples.

its been nearly a year since he featured on robsoul, under his v.i.c.a.r.i. alias, but sheffield house don tommy vicari jnr returns to the label with another beautifully creative ep. opener ‘breff’ is a coming together of polar opposites. whilst harps glide across the prodigious pulse of its acidic bassline, open hats shimmy and snares strike. somehow, all together, it works to perfection. the quaking bass, grinding stab and ‘get dahn’ vocal serve to create a stripped back tool across the opening bars of our a2. however when the beats drop its secret is revealed within its killer groove. as the lights come on tommy rolls out one final jam in glittery disco cut ‘in the night’. a last seductive slice from the northern powerhouse and one that leaves us hotly anticipating his robsoul return.

unblock label boss tuccillo strikes again with another solid release with the ep black talk. this is the 5th release on this respected vinyl only imprint that has previously showcased talent such as tomoki tamura and djebali but this time, comes from tuccillo himself with his unmistakable signature sound. headlining track -black talk- has a great rolling baseline with plenty of swing with some subtle vocal snippets thrown in here and there. -ride on- has a tougher edge with some old school flavours driven by a rhythmic snare with lots of energy perfect for the height of club dj set shopwork offers a more percussive sound over an infectious warm chunky groove, again with some cool short reggae influenced vocal snippets. a timeless release that can stay in the box.

raw machine funk from an intergalactic mind – hakim murphy brings us two contrasting sides of classic analog jams, chicago style. on the a-side, ‘toms from space’ and ‘bgstyle’ both have a melodic nostalgia, the former with pads and drum accents that are almost conversational, the latter’s ringing synth lines cleaving more to the jamal moss school of machines-gone-wild, but still in an introspective mood. the b-side is a heavier affair, ‘stompsb’ coming at you with a barrage of snares, claps and toms that will tickle the more adventurous dancers out there. by ’tf3_2’ the machines are in pure revolt, battery draining and sounds escaping in fits and starts – avant-garde chicago house, no questions asked.

tommy garofalo aka turbojazz returns to local talk after remixing corrado bucci back in 2015. a producer with great versatility that started djing and producing music during the 90 s, heavily inspiried by hip hop. something that would bring him to explore the whole black music culture, from dance floor jazz to rare funk and disco, passing through all things soulful and deep. take all of the above & stir it in a musical pot and you get the unbreakable ep , the debut 12- on local talk from turbojazz. the ep kicks of with please u which features david blank on vocals. a retro-futuristic track with warm chords draping themselves over snappy snares & melodies. on the flip, unicorn rising bounces along with the sort of finesse you d expect from a producer like recloose, it s flavoured with quirky breaks and warm fuzz bass & analogue-sounding keys. last but not least we ve got evm128 on remix duties, a feel-good slice of broken beat anyone ? it s a blinder ladies and gentlemen.

leap is back! #006 of the catalogue offers two deep journeys by label operator a:lex on the a-side: “soul shower” cuts to the chase with dubby toms, shuffling hats, sharp-ass claps and an infectious warm synth progression that manifests that “body thang” referred to sample-wise. “long way to detroit” is a groover of a mpc-styled workout that stitches together various voices that comment on the city of cities all the while shuffling hard snares around a bubbling baseline - laid-back reminiscence guaranteed. the flip side features one hell of a funky jam entitled “places (live take)” ripped straight from a modular acid session conducted by the mysterious outfit richmond wagner. sparkling hats sprinkled over relentlessly warping bleeps and a thumper of a kickdrum will make crowds go off their heads during upcoming festival season as in any place alike.

jäfar make a rapid return to the label and are back to grace the a side of fragil 019, while one half of the duo (elliot sindall) also pairs up with constantin nakov as seura on the flip. black mamba recalls certain aspects of jäfar s previous work on the label: the broken drum line, the subtle vocal samples and the global hypnotic aspect of the music. yet it is also radically different from marzsia. black mamba is a subtle but direct club track, aiming to get the dancers down through its heavy groove. the kick drum and low toms are strongly suggesting leg movement, joining forces with the snares and hats which call upon some serious head nodding.on the b side, white chapel is another broken beat club piece, but this time feels crafted for the afterhours. the groove is lighter and the heady feel is strong, closing the dancer s eyes and inviting them to drift through the music. once again, fragil comes up with original, well produced and highly danceable content, highlighting unsung talents for every versatile dj out there.

mister ho and heap are ambassadors of the river danube. this is their first offering for the esp institute. on side a, collision resistance throws us into the bowels of an underground sex lair with an adrenaline-laden heartbeat for a kick drum, a rough dose of fisting illustrated by the combination of bassline with low-tom and an unrelenting snare that whips us raw into submission. somewhere in between the waves of punishment we can start to audibly pick up tortured moans of endurance and pleasure, but maybe its time we pull our minds from the gutter, wipe the sweat from our brow and flip the record for a reward. with side b’s veils of the beloved, mister ho & heap deliver us via speedboat to the white isle, coasting along to bouncy staccato bass notes and machine bleeps as a euphoric chord progression puts us in an 808 state of mind. the percussion arrangement and phasing string flourishes are introduced through a filter, opening slowly as if coming up for air from a beautiful blue abyss. these two songs are neither too salty nor too sweat

french veteran dj w!ld delivers the third release on uk imprint vessel records, which features two originals plus remixes from argentinean producer franco cinelli and label founder james barnsley. plus loin is a thudding piece of robust house featuring heady toms, suspenseful drum rolls and spectral keys whilst whats up men is a more rhythmic cut containing a subtle bassline and echoing synths. on the flip, leeds producer james barnsley s version of what s up men alters the original into a peaktime-focused number with crunchy snares, until franco cinelli concludes the package with an animated rendition of plus loin.

this is a city of contradicting systems and clashing elements. its morphology becomes a direct representation of a poly-rhythmic frenzy, avoiding any attempt of crystallization into a single entity. hi hats become columns, snares turn into repeating arcades and drum kicks form encompassing volumes. this is the architecture of the absurd, where reality as a single vision is no longer possible. as music helps us escape our bound dimension through obsessive repetitions, this city wants to be a materialization of this transcendental power.

white asega co-­owner jack dixon wrote new curtains after a friend who was coming wildly off the rails told him he was a good producer but his tunes were boring. the original version was really sparse and about 300bpm. when jack moved to new york the parts got lost, so he remade the track a dozen times. this was the version we all liked best, although jack never wants to hear it again in his life. it sounds tough and tropical. our friend troy gunner remixed it, and turned it into something so loud and slamming it will knock your teeth out. after telling jack to stop making boring music, mark kodiak spent two horrendous years working with jamie kodiak on a song they ve called taargus. it nearly destroyed their friendship forever but we think it was worth it. it has brutal weapon sounds, nasty snares and an incessant “yo” that has been described as “annoying and unnecessary”. the artist tom pounder has created a blinding video for it that contains brand new colours. french born bass genius bambounou stepped up to remix the track, taming the wild stems into a hypnotic early­morning house stepper. it took us approximately 2000 exhausting facebook group chats, four cross­atlantic flights and one divorce to get to this point. we hope you will enjoy this record for the rest of your lives. rip ken tulley.

tangible assets returns with its fourth release in the series by label owner stojche. an outlet that’s given the berlin based producer the freedom to explore and distill his trademark dubbed out detroit fueled productions. asset 04 follows on from three previous releases and opens its account with ‘payback’. a dubbed out affair that’s firmly grounded in a powerful groove. stojche sets about reinforcing his strengths in composing a surgically laden foundation with precision placement of 909 toms, panned snares and staggered kick drums that proceed into razor sharp hats, blooming into subtle delayed pads which are further lifted by emotive and colourful chords. payback’s true charm lies in its ability to capture an honesty and sincerity that’s as captivating as it is transcendent.“tunnel’ continues where ‘payback’ left off and leads in with a booming cavernous kick drum, diving directly deep into a wonderland of mysticism, an effortless trademark that’s clearly evident within all of stojche’s productions. rich swirling pads rise and sit happily beside cleverly programmed melodic keys that tease in out of the mix, directly complementing the main elements of its structure. if anything, ‘sinister alley’ should be further proof of the macedonian born producer’s maturity in exploring the outer worldly and broken beat time signatures. his approach in creating both depth and enchantment is both pragmatic and effective. beautifully deep, undulating and atmospheric. ‘sinister alley’ opens with an airy signal that captivates upon overture. combining quintessential snares, a series of rapid fire hats that are anchored by an analog baseline, he sets about creating hypnotism with layers of atmospheric suspense, while fluttering waves of electronic circuitry waver in the distance. a multitude of pads and textures combine to create an ethereal feel and harmonic cloud to float within. tangible assets 004 is far more than just another chapter in stojche’s musical journey and much more than just another release on his label. it’s further evidence and development in a sound that truly captures the essence of the man behind these tracks. an ethos he’s been exploring for quite some time, catalyzing imagination and furtherance that’s beyond tangible.

uabos, aka matteo pepe, is a young and rising start from the fashion capital of europe. this milan musician melts the mediterranean with 707 attitude, connecting his homeland with the iconic floor grooves of chicago. warbling acid warmth gives way to spiralling female samples as dusk sets in. the track is pure golden sunshine. tweaked bars are woven through clean drums to form an energy-filled track of explosive properties. polished rhythm patterns scaffold the ep. from this solid base flow clever melodies and dancefloor subtlety. 303s trickle against thick and rich chords for the textured tones of abc dream . uabos grabs his audience, holding them with hypnotic harmonies and an entrancing elegance. but with that is an intoxicating funk, one epitomized in the drill . toms and pads introduce. snares snap as a deep and dense build is constructed, layers bubbling arpeggios support cascading chords for a chitown streaked disco romp. the finale, squash , is living musical liquid. a syrup of synthesized squawk squirms under soaring notes and crisp beats for a jackin infusion.

with his voyage direct label, tom trago has always championed dutch talent – djs and producers from the tightknit local scene whose music moves and inspires him in equal measure. he’s at it again on this 19th release, handing a debut 12inch to fastrising, amsterdambased dj/producer elias mazian. the 25 yearold is a muchloved figure on the amsterdam scene, and has gained a reputation as one of the citys true underground heroes. his dj sets are rooted in contemporary deep house and techno, but also take inspiration from 80s electro, stevie wonder, pfunk, disco, and the surging, snareheavy pulse of early chicago ghettohouse

airplay from steve barker (the wire) on bbc radio and support from tomas rubeck (eshu) among others. kicking off the new fifth interval label, san francisco based dub techno producer federsen heads up the premier release. the title track is a hazy dub techno trip filled with washes of tape delayed chords and crisp snares while the b1 track - 50hz is a far more broken affair, 140 bpm gear comparable to the likes of deadbeat and strategy. for the final track, isodyne (one half of forward strategy group) shakes up 50 hz, slowing it down to an incredibly weighty 115 bpm, finalising an excellent release with something for discerning djs of all tastes.

title track don t stop is a loose and playful thing that chucks loopy, circular drums, little vocal riffs, synth stabs and tumbling toms into the mix and lets them all groove along for almost six infectious minutes. its a spritely, silvery and slithering concoction that makes you shake your every limb. stare is a deeper, darker thing with rattling snares rolling over flappy kick drums and wobbling synths ducking in and out of the space left behind. its a tumultuous, drum lead affair that toys with your expectation, threatening to drop or explode but never quite doing so, instead keeping you right on the edge of your seat throughout. the final offering is nian which again has super well defined drums and hits all tumbling and sparking off each other. it s spacious stuff, too, and the indecipherable foreign language vocals add another layer of intrigue to what is already a fascinating cut.

after appearances on idle hands and brstl, rhythmic theory returns to their own imprint to further explore gritty textures and mysterious moods within house and techno frameworks. where theory001 featured the somewhat soothing, melancholic tones of >echo vibe< and >omega syndrome<, this second installment comes caked in sonic muck and abrasive attitude.its not all dark and foreboding, as the graceful filter-swept key refrain of >siren song< will attest, but it takes a barrage of rasping hats and bludgeoning kicks and toms before such niceties can be foisted upon our ears. while there is an optimistic lilt to the particular notes the melody calls out, in the midst of such machismo percussion it cant help but feel emotionally ambiguous, continuing the tone set out in the first rhythmic theory releases.there is no such confusion over b side cut >genesis< from the apocalyptic boom of the opening kick to the rapid gun fire of the snare this is a track that wants to inflict damage. at the midway point the searing beat melts away as a wash of delay-riddled speech knocks you from your centre of gravity, only for the drums to come whipping back in to pick up the slack. even the sole synth note that rears its head is devoid of compassion, pulsing a creepy, robotic intonation through the clamour.

tyree coopers all you need is house ep is a proud celebration of the genre, done chicago style and rammed home by marco’s wailing vocals. through solid drums and strong vocal hooks, coopers original beats down hard justifying the need for a 180g pressing. it rattles and hums until dropping into a tom-drum and snare solo similar to runaways *brooklyn club jam*. bobby starrs mix brings marcos teddy pendergrass-sung vocals to the fore, while milty evans gets a little techier with a cut up approach, adding white noise flashes and lots of filterwerk. cooper second take comes via a classic dub which draws a link between squelchy baile funk and a masters at work drum track.

a best off all new things on the everpopular phobiq imprint by sasha carassi. the mechanized warfare of void opens up the release, with industrial snares taking front and center. meanwhile, the steamrolling groove never lets up and bleeding stabs lead the way to a subliminal riff that grows and mutates.the original mix of z-nasti makes strong use of ghostly chords while sonars fire away over tightly programmed drums.

tom giles previous twelve on modern soul saw him flex his muscles as a producer of sample-based wonky disco. this latest release, however, shows him stepping up to the challenge of crafting heavy boogie gems from scratch – with not a sample to be seen. the 12 inch kicks off with colour theory, a memorable mid-tempo number where crisp snares cracking between a lithe synth-line and a funk-bass backbone, featuring alex farrell of the london afrobeat collective on guitar. its a boogie daisy-cutter, packed, primed and ready for dropping on discerning dancefloors.

aldo cadiz is one of the most well known djs and producers from chile and head of the label disco royal music. in the year 2000 he opened his own club in chile called casa club which was his homebase for him and many many djs from all over the world. his 1st release on lust und freu.de musik called >spanked ep< contains two very energetic and groovy tracks called >fuego< and >spanked<. the track >fuego<, which he produced together with his friend flavio lodetti from italy has a very deep basic structure which is decorated with spacey click drums, toms and snares rounded off by an amazing vocal that gives this track a deep soul. the track >spanked< is a classic cadiz style house track and pure rhythm. a very dry piece straight for the dancefloor.

the hideout deconstruction revisited series is going into phase two, here we go: after the french connection (d julz and paul ritch ) , this new release sees a more international bundle of top class producers : to start , we have dusseldorfs master producer martin buttrich (desolat , planet e , ...) put his magic hands on davide squillace & luca bacchetti s around the bay ( ho001). the track starts with an >acoustic style< beat and, a strong sine sub bass line, evolving to a jacking groove with rising vocal sample , intelligent synth lines , and arabic flute break. on b2 , carola pisaturo ( titbit , claque) delivers a more minimal rework , using bouncy sub bass , vocal snipets , 909 snare and clap ... giving davide squillace and luca bacchettis around the bay a rebirth. on the flip side, mathias kadens ( vakant , cocoon ) relecture starts with a strong shuffled tribal beat , 909 toms , synth lines ... mathias interprets the original elements of around the bay in a very personal way , dropping snipets into reverbs and delays in order to create a deep rising atmosphere untill the track peaks.

new yorks elon provides metroline with yet another very fine release. clap back is a real gem. the original mix has a beautiful spacious and airy mix that allows the echo-soaked toms and the swirling vox stabs to breathe, and they really draw you in. an insistent bass pulse provides a structure for the snappy post-garage percussion to build into a lurching, lunging rhythm. very original, and very infectious. ekkohaus remix is a focused, driving deep house groove, shaped around lush, rounded stabs and heavily-filtered synths. claps and snare emerge from the beautifully balanced mix to give the track a real disco kick. the third track on the ep zero gravity has a more back-to-basics feel. the bassline is dubby, but the percussion has a classic french touch feel that gives the track real movement. a rhodes-like synth line wraps itself round the track like a warm fuzzy blanket. maximum comfort for house heads.

>funky junkie< pumps up the tempo for a full-on ride through funked-uppercussive techno. centered on a groove of big heavy kicks and jacking snaresthis inventive vocal track joins the dots between early chicago house and techno.

fritto morto 003 sees gatto frittos invisible college getting a timely re release. originally out on dissident, invisible college has been a big record for beardos from hoxton to hawaii. it became a firm favourite at londons disco bloodbath and cosmic truth nights aswell as across the pond at harveys sarcastic parties. a long acoustic guitar driven balearic trip propelled by synth bass, disco toms, clavinet and fender rhodes with a summery disposition. the b side your dreams are my nightmares is 9 minutes of highlife guitars squalling 101s, backwards vocals and white noise snares with a pure pop number buried underneath...the sort of thing paul simon and doris norton might have made if they had been sectioned and were in a music therapy group together.

in marieu s ôrootsö, you can hear all the trademarks of the boss of the label. dark, hypnotic and pumping, it developes a bouncing double bass line that breaks the atmosphere with an aggressive 808 kick. acid and funky at the same time, it s simply a time bomb.
on side b, lucretio s ôwhere youö is a superb synthesis of his detroit techno and uk-garage influences. relentless effective old-school drums run with a female vocal sample. soulful chords sing along balistic claps. an evocative string line introduces a touch of blues. a sweet sunset on the groove, a smooth weapon.
last but not least, a touch of class by the analogue cops: ôslowlyö. it s a down beat fusion of jazz and deep house. a monumental bass drum bursts a celestial big band interlude. a sexy 303 acid line, an elegant high-hat, a snappy snare. just few things but on the right place. a delight for your mind and for your body.
