>the dude< ep is based on the idea by holger flinsch to invite some of his friends to produce some >dude< tracks together. the hypnotic first track on the ep is an emotional, minimal shuffle stomper by two_em & el locco. the second track is produced by toby dreher and sm.art (well known for her last depeche mode >martyr< remix on mute). >zelterdude< makes great use of a funky bass and the hypnotically rolling arrangement progresses to nice french female vocals and hypnotic synth lines. and the last track is produced by holger flinsch himself with his dude holger nielson aka holgi star. its a superb smoove grooving club track which keeps a deep detroit feeling

brendon moeller returns to third ear after some years, following up his lauded jazz junk safari trilogy of eps with 4 peak time bombs. all 4 tracks blow up the dance floor. brendon moeller known for his sound design, has taken his sonics to extremes on all four tracks, pushing, twisting and teasing frequencies to the limit. the bass on all tracks is phenomenal. it s just as well that a master engineer like pole has mastered these tracks, maxing out the sound yet protecting the sound systems that these bombs will be played on. super fun.

two of the hottest producers around did some fierce remix work: mister >love dose< argy of pokerflat fame and matthias >bulldozer< tanzmann, head of moon harbour and dj all around! argy delivers two superb mixes: the >horserider mix< is very close to his pokerflat material and works with different layers, whereas the >morris audio mix< is a more stripped down pumpin club tool! matthias tanzmann turns >apply to peopley< into a real minimal monster
