10th release on fasrat is the debut record of mr yo so hailing from the west pomerania region of poland (same as his label mate das komplex), rafal reich is an experienced musician. from playing piano in modern jazz groups to woodwinds in a brass band and synths in his home studio, his music displays rare sensibility and an ear for lovely melodies. delicious brings together six tracks recorded during last few years, from dreamy new age-ish soundtracks to proper balearic sunrise/sunset anthems, with obvious echoes of 70s lords of synth. cheesy, yes, but its this kind of rich, mature, delicious cheese we all like, dont we?

third release on maciek sienkiewiczs fasrat label comes from a polish wunderkind selvy three tunes showing his rare versatility, blending together deepest house, acidic techno, dreamy balearia, all with a very special exotic feel. groovy, funky, dreamy and trippy in equal proportions!

die serie der greensleeves lp-wiederveröffentlichungen geht weiter: hier ist das album des sängers linval thomspon aus dem jahre 1983 im originalartwork. *baby father* wurde mit den roots radics und dem bläsersatz bestehend aus dean fraser und nambo robinson im channel one studio aufgenommen. am mischpult saßen dabei soldgie hamilton und der sänger als produzent in eigenregie. linval thompson (geboren als phillip alphonso im jahr 1954) hatte seinen ersten karrierehöhepunkt mit dem kultalbum *dont cut off your dreadlocks* im jahre 1976 für bunny lee. zu diesem zeitpunkt hatte er bereits das studium zum toningenieur in new york abgeschlossen und später begann eine erfolgreiche produzentenkarriere, u.a. dennis brown, cornell campbell, the wailing souls, barrington levy, eek-a-mouse, sowie die zwei scientist alben *meets the space invaders* und *encounters pac man*.

its not exactly a dance album, although there is music you can dance to on it. its more filmic in nature.

machen wir uns nichts vor, wir haben es hier mit einem stolzen vater zu tun. und eigentlich muss man mindestens alben von sting und den dire straits in seinem plattenschrank haben, um zum vati rock dazuzugehören. solch ein vater ist snaevar njáll albertsson aber gar nicht. dad rocks ausrufezeichen steht eher für das gegenteil eines vaters, der seine kinder mit musik aus seiner generation plagt. snaevars inspirationen kommen aus der gegenrichtung: sie erwachsen aus seinen engsten beziehungen, wie der zu seiner kleinen tochter. pathos, ironie und modernes vater-sein bringt der isländische musiker nun auf seinem inzwischen zweiten album >mount modern< zusammen.
