after highlighting two young french talents for its first releases with madben and oniris, astropolis records now invites two french techno legends for its third release. the driver, techno aka for french rave key figure manu le malin and techno veteran electric rescue join their forces for a first 12 inch * the wolves * : a dark fang strike, fierce, beastly. the encounter of these two french techno activist couldnt have result in anything else than an explosiv termination : two raw and nagging techno tracks blending up both artist proper musical background.

dark entries are honored to reissue the 4th full-length from carolyn fok / cyrnai, an asian-american female solo artist from the bay area. in 1990 ‘to subtle-drive’ was re-released with 2 songs from the 1988 release and 4 new compositions. this reissue adds 5 bonus tracks recorded during the same period spread across a double lp set. each copy includes a double sided insert with lyrics, photos and notes by carolyn. all songs have been remastered by george horn at fantasy studios. old-soul beat tracks on cassette with time and techno-guilotine songs.

nachdem temporär die special edition des soundtracks erhältlich war (anderes coverartwork, pink gefärbtes vinyl), kehren invada nun mit dieser neuauflage zu dem ursprünglichen design des soundtracks zurück. sprich es ist auf dem cover wieder die rückenansicht von ray gosling in seiner silberfarbenen skorpion-jacke zu sehen. damit es nicht langweilig wird, ist das 140g schwere vinyl nun so gefärbt: frosted clear with multi-coloured splatter . das gatefold-cover rundet diese edition ab. -drive- gehört zu den populärsten scores der letzten jahre. die mischung aus elektronischer pop-musik (unter der leitung/produktion der chromatics) und dem elektronischem soundtrack (von cliff martinez, ex- red hot chilli peppers) geht wunderbar auf und verbindet sich treffsicher mit den suggestiven bildern des films.

(re-issue of the much longed for 2013 lp with alternate artwork). samo dj and max stenerudh have billed the record as a conceptual soundtrack set in kowloon’s walled city, an ex military fort in hong kong that became notorious for its dense population, triad connections and lack of governmental control. it was demolished in the mid 1990s, but has served as the influence for plenty of projects since, and should provide a suitably shadowy backdrop for kwc 92s fractured sounds.
