danny berman aka red rack em is back with 2 more burners on his much loved bergerac label. after slaying everyone last year with wonky bassline disco banger and this years hotly tipped self portrait lp he s got his sights set firmly on the dancefloor once more. 2017 has been a vintage year for the berlin based dj producer with radio 1 mixes, serious air miles, remixes for tensnake, tinie tempah, shows for rinse and after a hectic summer, it s time to focus on his own productions and get back to what he does best. making slamming house cuts designed for maximum floor damage. place for me (version) is a cut up, pumping, soulful disco house slammer. originally released in 2009, it s been updated and remastered and is another great example of red rack ems ability to chop up vocal samples and make something fresh from them. guaranteed club wrecker, which served as a pre-cursor to wbdb and thus needs to be out there once more. exhalt is a super deep, spiritual house number with vibes galore. deep pads and crisp beats combine with deep bass in an ecstacy tinged, euphoric disco number. one for the heads…

respected producer and dj red rack em is due to release his new album self portrait this february via his own label bergerac. formed over the course of four years during a transitional period after moving to berlin, self portrait, as the title suggests, is a true reflection of danny berman and his influences.

fuck the world and go all in! fuck the world definitely has to be this new labels first output to cause some major attention right from the start and it worked: its hammered by no less such figures than maniax (moonbootique), azzido da bass (luscious sounds), roman salzger (joia/opaque), wollion (fullscale/blufin), tim le el (scream & shout), tapesh (tribebouse/3001), lars sommerfeld (two faces/fumakilla), toby montana (selected works) and juliet sikora (opaque). tube & berger have made themselves a name in the international dance business many years ago and together with ante perry they were responsible for the incredibly successful hit single der urknall earlier in 2007. now the guys have managed to get no less than electroferris (formerly known as ferris mc) on board to produce a pure dance floor bomb that will cause absolute escalation wherever played.

tommy rawson releases are sporadic but always high quality. as a former member of the souled duo who ran the excellent fresh minute label hes been around the more tropical end of uk house and broken beat for many years and this, his first full release for bergerac ushers forth a new level in his sound. this whole record is a masterclass in post bruk, forward thinking, shining, bright uk dance music. unmatched in emotion and vibes. deep blue is quite simply the sound of the summer. sun drenched, euphoric and soaring. broken but not broken, 4/4 but not quite housey. jazzy, soulful yeah. it was the highlight of red rack ems olive grove closing set at love international last year when it provided the most halcyon of moments. live trumpet from vicky flint and a whole bag of vibes from tommy rawson. this is a classic. trust. past tense is a super tropical african tinged house stomper which shows tommys love of sunshine vibes once more with acres of space, insistent chants, dubby pianos and a tinge of jungle roller bass. the final track into the future takes us into almost blade runner-esque orchestral emotion but with a kind of balearic feel tucked in there too. beautiful, lilting, emotional memories. you can feel so much love in this track. such a special record. buy it. love it. treasure it.

bergen is the next, and natural step in the expanding career of dutch producer tom trago. the acclaimed producer behind voyage direct will release his fourth lp, with the label and crew he s built a close relationship with over the past ten years - dekmantel. with a new studio and approach to music, bergen is trago sounding at his very finest, returning to his roots with a focussed, and dedicated production ethos.

nice price deal !!! new years deal - what more can be said about 2016 for red rack em apart from massive? in march, he released the instant classic wonky bassline disco banger which has been one of the biggest selling house tracks of the year, picking up praise and plays across the board from moodymann, the black madonna and mcde right through to disclosure and mark ronson.
tomato pope is a slamming party banger. somewhere between house, techno, african music and broken beat, the drums are driving, the bassline is huge and the vocal samples get mangled throughout the track. it s another guaranteed floor wrecker from red rack em and gives a tantalising taste of the lp weight to follow.

danish djuma soundsystem teams up with italian aki bergen and they get showered in spoken poetry by none other than south african lazarusman.the reciepe is already there and looking good,but even better.it sounds good too. 2 different versions from 2 great producers. aki bergens version is very driving, electronic and suitable for the primetime and late night hours. djuma soundsystem serves the more organic and deep version for the warm up hours and small intense clubs.

for nearly two decades, ploink has promoted techno nights around norway, presenting local talent as well as some of the biggest acts from around the world. we just really like techno. our definition of the genre is fairly wide though, constantly evolving, which we have attempted to reflect in this our first release, compiling four very different tracks by local producers from our hometown of bergen. setting up a label branch has for years been a burried, old plan. to us, techno parties, no matter how unique and brilliantly planned, have such a short lifespan, and as such it feels good to finally start releasing something that can get a life of its own, perhaps grow into something entirely different.

bergerac releases are few and far between. just 3 singles and one album since september 2010, all self penned by label boss red rack em. he has pushed his hybrid sound of woozy deep house and arid bass driven garage techno into the hearts and minds of the scenes elite including four tet, mike huckaby, mcde, magda, move d and axel boman. the 4th release introduces a new artist and sound to bergerac, seetheroad is a mysterious outsider with an impeccable techno pedigree. words are kind of useless when quality of this depth is on offer.

terry lee brown junior is back on plastic city with his new 3 track single >baltimore<. here we have two great remixes and one original dub version. on the a-side is the pumping bas amro remix. its a little bit techy and would rock every dancefloor at the maintime! the b1-track is the aki bergen remix and it sounds more minimal than the other ones. also we have here more elements from the original included! for the last is the b2-track. its the dub mix of the original with less vocals and a straighter beat programming. the productions are very accurate, the interplay of moods, sounds and emotions is functional and sexy, very concidered and perfectly restaged. terry lee brown junior make the next step right back into the clubs. perfect!
