vinyl only! synths glittering through the night are pierced by metallic percussion and crushed by bass frequencies from a deep abyss! many times have ricardo esposito and micheal nadjé demonstrated their tight dj skills all over europe and now these two brothers have stepped up their game yet again to craft two tracks in a most simple and efficient way that only early chi house is capable of. claps, toms and tambourines rushing fiercely through arped hooks bring back that 87 feeling! the flip transports us back to the present day in the form of two remixes, but wont betray the a-sides spirit. for b1 john spring trades arpeggios for chords and introduces a thump you will surely be able to feel on the floor. kyle, on the other hand, hooks up his analog gear and pulls out synth lines that will get everyone on the dance floor dizzy – but only until the bass line crushes their chests.

the recording of the 1968 album >the notorious byrd brothers< in the heyday of the flower power age was nothing less than herculean, disputes over artistic direction & power struggles within the band meant that by the time recording was finished there were only two byrd-members left. the album was a labour of love, though, its more experimental and progressive than their previous works and is considered one of the best albums they made ...

the young, newly founded label lofile proudly presents its first ep wowmom brothers & sisters. wowmom is a collective of three djs and producers that focus on deep house but are influenced by a far wider range of music - with shapes and strings of detroit techno to chicago house. together, off. exile, simon busse and marbod got four beautiful minimalistic tracks recorded on vinyl with remixes by johannes albert, mod. civil and boytalk. dark, but clearly minimalistic, pearling and with a profound deepness, lfr 001 is like a small detail of a picture. you can dream the rest around it and imagine what will follow.

on brothers in loves first release, max k. gets right down to business introducing himself and this family project: booming kick drums, thumping toms side by side with sharp hi-hats and staccato claps. machine grooves with sounds as raw as the musical approach of the artist. >losing your cool< builds on a massive kick drum, with a tom groove shuffling the track. it develops into a late summer bloom, which is over as fast as this years berlin summer was – with piercing percussion to remind you that winter is already here! >overdrive<, the first track on the flip, starts as a heavy slow groover with thumping kick, crashing snare and acidic synth lines until a punishing hook enters knocking you upside the head. the second track on the b-side, >indulgence< comes disguised as a stepper with a raw, pulsating analog bass line, but reaches its apex with a whirling synth lead on top of a vocal that could never be classified as your ordinary preachapella.

the zenker brothers grew up in munich, but in 1996 they moved to the countryside and their first adress outside of the bavarian capital was berg 10. shortly after that they got their first dog inti, he smelled like hell, but he was the loveliest dog you can imagine. although it was an intense change and not that easy at the beginning to move from a big city to a village with 5 houses, it was a really important experience for the brothers. and there was so much to discover: the beautiful mountains, lakes and forests, the local football team, the heavy bavarian accent and simply the different mentality on the countryside. all things they would never want to miss, but it was just a question of time to go back to the city. we are proud to present the first record from dario & marco. enjoy!
