the good the bad the ugly the evil is a full on and brandnew 4 track ep from our cologne artist roland m. dill. roland has worked here with a stronger live-set up resulting in tracks more organic. developing from within rather than being developed, the tracks seem to have a stronger hypnotic edge to them. according to the titels the track all show diffferents characteristic. starting with the evil this track is not very obvious but works very much by itself, whereas the good is a perfect intermezzo for djs who really build up their sets with a lot of skill. the ugly is a mental track... it has stunts, it screams, it sees no end... this is mandness on the highest level and also the bad is written in this veain.

recorded in the winter/spring of 2009, first released in june 2009. at the time i called it my failed kompakt techno experiment, i started out with that minimal beat in mind but ended with something different. the title was the first thing i started with after watching some miss helen mirror on tv at the period, still love the title really. songs became longer and i discovered the delay while recording. this second record was the first one were i started settling on an sound of my own. some weeks after recording the screaming girls on the last track during their sunday afternoon youth group activity a baby fetus was found on their field with the mother being one of the girls

the first release for consequence and joe sevens new alias they live is on dbridge & instra:mentals autonomic label. creeping in with a slightly haunting melody and sparse drums, >pure palms< starts off with little indication of where the track might lead, it feels as though it could go in any direction. as it slowly builds, the warmth and weight û and deep-set rhythms û that consequence is known for begin settling, and open up to an evocative, widescreen track of immense beauty.

incl live mix by ataneus! and again the ostwind crew welcome a new artist on their sub label ostwind limited. sandru lives in cologne and raised with music as a son of a bassist. he played drums and piano in his childhood and made the first steps with techno at the age of 15. now the 24 years old sandru releasing his first track called >late night stories<. raw minimal beats und clicks, combined with a dirty rolling bass and a building hookline will give you some warmness in these winter days. a good start by sandru and we looking forward to his next releases on ostwind. to make this record perfect we have two pretty tracks from our friend from sofia, ataneus. well known for his productions on ostwind, subotnik and ackerdub, ataneus shows again his talent for emotional and very deep going stuff. en echolon and spectral class have this typical warm bass and arrangements from ataneus. forward groovin techhouse styled up with markant pinpointed melodies. also music to fuse the ice from the house top oft he club.

to kick-start the fina campaign we literally hunted high and low to find an artist and sound that we felt would represent us and give a statement of intent. what we didnt expect was for this search to take us south of the equator and into to the deep southern hemisphere. this is not the first place that you would expect to hear warm, deep underground house but this is exactly what you get with the melbourne based mic newman. and thinking about it, it doesnt get warmer or deeper than melbourne does it? mic is a young producer who we believe is destined for greatness. at the age of 29, hes already had a string of underground smashes on labels such as murmur, tsuba, dirt crew, freerange, and now for fina records. the intriguingly named live east, die young ep (mic riffing on his time spent living in london) sees what mic doing what he does best and demonstrates why his future is so bright. on die young, the tougher a-side, mic keeps the beats solid, and the groove tight and hypnotic, while the smooth chord stabs get right under your skin. prolonged foot tapping ensues. on the flip side, live east, mic takes it a little deeper with ever so subtle disco touches. the vocal sample asks what your name is and to take off your jacket as if to welcome you to a very messy after hours on this mcde-esque low-slung house groove. on remix duty, the on-form jacques renault and marcos cabral aka runaway, lift the track out of the south hemisphere and take it in a north easterly direction all the way to the caribbean – adding plenty of steel drums and pads on their interpretation of live east
