das album von 1982 ist als vinyl-lp wieder erhältlich! -the seven voyages of captain sinbad- war das debütalbum für den deejay captain sinbad (alter ego des jamaikanischen produzenten carl dwyer). der künstler startete seine karriere beim sound of silence soundsystem als junger kollege von sugar minott und machte aufnahmen für dillinger s oak label. aber es war der produzent henry junjo lawes, die musiker der roots radics mit scientist & soldgie hamilton am mischpult des channel one studio und das greensleeves label sowie der graphiker tony mcdermott, die diesen longplay-klassiker verwirklichteten. schwergewichtige riddims - u.a. shank i shank, soloman, cuss cuss, things and time, bobby babylon, hunter man!

the voyager camp proudly presents their second release, this time packaged as a two part series with both editions crafted by the ever capable troy gunner. undoubtedly one of the most talented producers rising through the ranks, the two part ep is a testament to his versatility while showcasing a diverse range of influences. both tracks feature regular and well-known collaborators, rowl and synkro, and the record conveys an even deeper side to all parties involved, signifying a move away from the traditional arrangements seen today in favour of originality.

with a techno career stretching nearly a decade, finlands samuli kemppi is a natural choice for the fourth edition of themas continuing chronicle series. his intensely rhythmic, futuristic style has been making its mark across europe since 2004, but it was really four years later, when he was picked up by ostgut ton, prologue, and kosmisch, that the world found out the true impact of his sound. since then he has enjoyed his strongest support from the last of these imprints and, even more importantly, from luke slaters powerhouse mote-evolver, a go-to since its inception in 2006 for the freshest sounds techno has to offer. following the summer launch of his own deep space helsinki label, we are proud to announce kemppis chronicle debut with voyager, an ep of deep, science fiction sounds backed by intense beats.

nick sinna has been on the radars lately with his debut release for prime numbers pn13. sticking to the dark corners of the dance floor as of late, we have commissioned the spaced out bass child, conforce and spectrals secret weapon, jtc (aka dabrye) to add their touch with 2 remixes. conforce takes sinnas >real time< further down the worm hole, adding molten pressure to the percussion, and cutting up & reinforcing the vocal samples. while the acid warrior himself, jtc stays true to his roots on his rework of >voyager<, taking the edge off the snap and slicking the groove down to a more deep, melodic trip. pn13 has already received diverse support by the likes of ben klock, marcel dettman, dvs1 and mr. scruff.

lars niekisch is most well-known for his berlin partnership with frank hermann as trick and kubic. since 2005 they have carved out vintage releases on labels such as get physical and great stuff. voyager is lars first solo release, acidic, ravey and thoroughly deep down and dirty, it has smashed many a main room in recent weeks. voyager has already been licensed to a forthcoming hernan cattaneo mix compilation, and the single also features the debut remix from long term buzzin fly resident dj, chris woodward. the track has received great feedback from a-list club djs including john digweed, solomon, cattaneo and the dirt crew. this is the latest single from ben watts respected imprint, buzzin fly. collectors artwork on the 12inch.
