for our second release of 2018 ears have eyes are back with the third instalment of our throng of orbs compilation series. this time around we welcome back old friends, and bring in some new names to the ehe fold, with a collection of tracks spanning deep emotive house music, broken beats and acid dancefloor pressure. first up we have contours, who burst onto the scene in 2015 with an excellent release on the mighty rhythm section, and has put out a slew of great records since then. dither takes time to unfold, but when the fluid acid line emerges from the heady percussion he really sets up the track for dancefloor perfection. for the a2 we welcome back chocky to the label, and he serves up a slice of weighty house music that drips quality and emotion. pickle dat kicks off with an absolute beauty of a groove, understated but weighty, and from there chocky goes on to sprinkle just the right amount of seasoning, with soulful rhodes licks and a wonderful bass line. off the back of their excellent 12- on love on the rocks, elles x violet kick off the b side with yrnyb, a tried and tested dancefloor destroyer. when we heard elles playing this in a dark basement in peckham, we just had to sign it. sometimes a kick drum, an acid line and a half heard vocal is all you need. finishing off the release we have dublin artist replete serving up a lovely slice of hazy, percussive house music that slowly builds to a crescendo. an acidic bassline sits nicely over congas and a warm, rounded kick drum.

vague output is a party, collective, and label out of baltimore that opposes any teleogical understanding of underground electronic music. the label debuts with a perfect collection of ebm, italo, synthwave, and proto-techno from veleno viola label head francesco baudazzi s alter egos violet poison, bakunin commando, and diana berti.
uneven paths: deviant pop from europe, 1980-1991 is the second multiple artist compilation on music from memory and is compiled by record connoisseur raphael top-secret and label man jamie tiller. the compilation brings together twenty one tracks from across the continent, exploring the more unusual and unexpected sides of pop music produced during that period.
on their debut album, celephaïs takes the listener on a trip into the distant lands of the mind. the album contains six long tracks, each of which tell a different story. think of opium induced daydreaming, celephaïs is here to hold hands so you feel safe enough to delve deeper into dissociation. the presented advanced synthesizer works display earthly undertones of dirt, hypnotizing noises, drumming sounds of distant rituals as well as ringing crystals. comes with a special artwork as insert.
written and produced by ian martin and jeroen holthuis.
million brazilians formed in portland, oregon in 2006. founding members grant corum and suzanne stone have been central to the band since its inception, while a rotating line-up backs them depending on the latest vision for the sound. tip! the band carry out their own interpretation of a genre bending ethos that has evolved throughout the american underground. drifting between boundless compositions, focused energetic improvisations and experimental collaborations that embrace a weird sort of transcendence. their next installment red rose and obsidian was recorded in maine and engineered by big blood’s caleb mulkerin. both he and the band deliver a powerful yet fragile and personal release. the mythical and evocative recordings are inspired by maine s rugged coastlines, mournful ripples of sound wash up on the shore, whilst a lonesome, at times harrowing saxophone drifts through the rolling mountains, providing unsettling melodic interludes. electronic treatments veil organic sounds, a fleeting whistle meets spontaneously with spacey flutes, mutated rock rhythms are topped off with the soaring vocals of suzanne stone who leads the listeners into the magical world of the million brazilians.

it all started with a book, as these things often do: an english anthology of metaphysical poetry from the 17th century, to be exact. which may not sound like the sexiest option on the shelves, but hear us out. the gentleman plowing through those weathered pages happened to be michał,,,,, jacaszek, the polish composer who’s spun dramatic shades of darkness and light into gold for more than a decade now. an absolute master of melancholy, from the trickle-down electronics of treny to the vapor-trailed verses of its looming spiritual cousin kwiaty.
the vinyl release includes a downloadcode.
invisible, inc pull out the stops with their most dancefloor-friendly release to date which comes courtesy of strange culture aka glasgow-based dj gk machine. the ep features 4-tracks all built around the classic arpeggiators and self-oscillating filters of two synth heavyweights going head to head: a customized jupiter-4 meeting a seriously hot-rock-burned jupiter-8.
