phat 2020 album !! an album had been finished by the spring of 95 and all recorded onto dat and placed in a box. k&d pressed up 10 copies and gave 4 away to some suitably eccentric individuals. fast-forward a quarter century and that box was discovered, the music was transferred from the dats and k&d painstakingly rebuilt every molecule that made up the original 10 copies. the long-awaited result is here - 15 glorious tracks that will transport listeners back to the smoky haze of 1995.

with many influences, the musicians of la mano create a peculiar sound, a rock-salsa-ra�-reggae-rap cocktail which they baptize patchanka. manu chao, who writes lyrics, gives to the patchanka a more personal definition: a popular dance with apache lyrics and chorizo spirit. the band starts touring across france in october 1987 and rapidly establishes a solid reputation. a few months later, when the second record putas fever is released, the success is obvious. tracks sung in french, spanish or arabic, pas assez de toi, king kong five or sidi hbibi are immediate hits. after a long live-cruise in 1992 along the south american coasts, la mano negra gets back to france and separates in 1994. its hard to tell the impact of la mano negra across french and spanish speaking countries, with as many particular experiences that people lived during their tours.

was auf oracle ungeschliffen passiert, ist der erste output einer deutschen jazz supergroup. zun�chst wollte man ein unperfektes spiritual jazz album aufnehmen, das vorbildern aus den siebzigern fr�hnt (strata east, black jazz et cetera), einfach mal der leidenschaft nachgehen. und man wollte eine fiktive band erfinden, die es nicht gab, und rausposaunen, es handelt sich um ein unver�ffentlichtes album von namhaften und beseelten typen aus den 70ern. nun ja: dann h�tte man nie live konzerte geben k�nnen, von interviews ganz zu schweigen. kurzum, es w�re schwierig gewesen, das geheim zu halten, also hat man sich entschlossen, die identit�ten preiszugeben: web web sind: roberto di gioia (piano, synth, percussion), tony lakatos (tenor- und sopranosaxophone), christian von kaphengst (upright bass) und peter gall (drums).
