20th anniversary new celebratory remix by claudio coccoluto aka c.o.c.c.o aka ‘the heartists’ single ‘belo horizonti’ is set for release on claudio’s independent label the dub records on 22nd of april 2017 for record store day uk. with this limited edition 12 inch release featuring a fresh new remix, the dub records and claudio coccoluto continue to recognize the brazilian maestro ‘airto moreira’s’ contribution and influence on dance music today. the roots of samba, brazil’s official genre of music are historically connected to west africa, particularly angola and the congo which are of great significance to claudio coccoluto, he feels there are no boundaries in the world of music and hopes this transpires and is expressed through his own music.

glaswegian techno stalwart edit select presents the thirtieth effort in his edit select records series. “aftereffekts” is a 4 track release that opens with the thumping “the visitor”, this track combines puzzling percussive movements with otherwordly pads which subtly build to a hypnotic climax.
“fallen” is a broad sounding cut with an almost orchestral touch to it. the uncanny drum patterns and repetative fx make for a solid voyage. “aftereffect” is a percussion laden cut with soul touching strings that float throughout. “you” is a melancholic piece of art that incorporates heavenly pads with beautifully orchestrated rhodes sounds and a hypnotic drumtrack.
