every dog has that certain spot: you scratch it, and your four-legged friend starts kicking out in highest ecstasy, losing all control of his reflexes. the tunes of timboletti work pretty much like that. only he s using full-bodied bass lines to stimulate his audience. it almost seems like the bodies on the dancefloor get invisibly connected to the membranes of the speakers and their rhythmic movement. on top of that, timboletti employs psychelicious sounds and melodies, enchanted sample scraps and a pinch of acid, a cocktail that tickles through the brain of the listener as if somebody poured a glass of champagne into it. the essence of forward thrust and deepness, on this ep in five different variations and tree further remixes.

a family move to germany in the 90s expanded his horizons and musical repertoire but his homebase sound remained the same tech house and techno with groovy rhythms and bang out beats. as an artist, he has released on drumcode, cocoon recordings, soma, intec, bek audio, traumschallplatten, trapez, herzblut and bedrock. his tracks are always a mixture between dancefloor moovers including groovy rhythms and big basslines. mark reeve presents his second release on drumcode, run back, a four track ep crammed with heavy hitting kick drums and his signature big basslines. the dark sounds and heavy textures are typical of reeve and hes showing no sign of slowing down yet. four tracks of brooding techno, this ep is one not to be missed.

willie burns (the trilogy tapes/wt records/ l.i.e.s. records) complements this unusual walk in the woods by absorbing it into his warehouse banger signature. burns rework focuses on micro events of the original to create a sort of granular house version out of them. the adventure continues on a somewhat melancholic turn with we have been here before and sometimes as the b side. while we have been before is a more dancefloor-oriented take to krautrocks signature synthline layering, sometimes is norwells venture into a more techno universe than he’s mostly associated with to come out with a soothing, yet banging work. as digital bonuses, norwell offers glimpse a short but catchy synth jam riddled with different layers of complexity. this piece is then taken into obscurity by farbwechsel records boss s olbricht for a ride into a 80s-cyberpunk club where people are trying to dance their problems away in a dystopian world.

the 2nd single in this white label hand stamped remix series. this one brings the heat with a dope ass rewerk of isaac hayes moonlight lovin, a late night disco jam perfect for old skool house heads b/w school days from stanley clarke, a jazz funk cut time stretched for the dancefloor.

vent is happy to deliver yet another take on stripped back essential techno. stephanie sykes has had the opportunity to entertain many dancefloors since her last ep on vent, and we are astonished with her artistic progression. the sonic imagery is smoky and bass heavy, perfect for those heady dancefloor experiences. and as if the package isn’t perfect already, cassegrain delivers an absolute killer remix with raw, truly minimalistic techno.

a year after his last outing on the label, gunnar haslam is back on delsin with four more tracks of idiosyncratic techno. opening up this ep with the title track, haslam cooks up a spangled brew of erratic synths and spinning hi hats and ties them together with a heavy rubber kick drum. followed by sarsi which is then completely different, its a beatless and emotionally forlorn cut that still manages to take you somewhere special. deep dancefloor business taking over on the b-side. scurrying alien sounds closed by a frenzied techno trip. each track here is different from the last, and each track here is a refreshing proposition from one of the most interesting guys around.

vinyl only. recruited by chez damier at a very young age to release on balance, jorge caiado took on the house and techno pioneers teachings to shape his own sound. also early on he got involved with the local scene by joining groovement, where he releases music and also helps to develop the artistic side of the label. his new “sunny days are coming” 3 track ep refers to the beautiful lisbon light but also to the idea of his music being a deep but uplifting journey full of discovery. it is clear that jorge’s sound is always evolving, be it in house or techno realms, therefore this new record raises the bar once by exploring the edge of electronic music field. tested with great reaction at lux dancefloor in lisbon, this ep will appeal to classic balance fans but will go beyond by reaching detroit and berlin music aficionados also

‘prepare to commit the name najem sworb to memory’ commanded philip sherburne when he reviewed the strasbourgers previous record for resident advisor. it wasnt a hard ask, sworb makes some pretty incredible stuff. known by some for his fantastic release on the now defunct ai records and famous renow ep on clone basement series (was supported by josh wink, rod, cassy etc.), najem makes his debut here on technorama records! swaying to the uk sound, this ep clearly targets the dancefloor, delivering four genuine techno tracks structured with the trippy spacey savour that najem is known for. enjoy!

transatlantyk delivers more deep dancefloor heat straight from the polish house underground. this time zambon has recruited two duets from the opposite corners of the country, hence the name of the sampler (polnoc/poludnie = north/south). the result is one of the most diverse and playful transatlantyk releases yet.

van bonn presents on his new ep pluto dedicated techno music with a dubby edge. every tune of the ep points and reflects a different situation of the night. the eponymous opener pluto delivers a powerful groove full of drive, massive chords and sirens to thrill the air. twisted elements spice the dubby elements that melt into a massive break. 2650 pleases with a forward driving groove and modulated chord stabs. the massive bass goes hand in hand with the overall positive vibe created by subtle shifts of the harmony to round off an evolving tune that points on the dancefloor. the two heroes brendon moeller and eric cloutier remixed van bonn s original mixes. it needs to be said that it is amazing to welcome these two artists on this ep with their fantastic reshapes. brendon moeller remixed pluto and presents a stripped down, groovy and dubby affair that fathoms the wideness and depths of the original mix. brendon moeller s remix proves again that less is sometimes more. techno dub at its best. eric cloutier s remix of 2650 rounds off the ep with a gentle and deep driving dub house vibe. it is presented in the stripped down eric cloutier sound . full of details and little changes does eric cloutier s remix tickle your eardrum that makes you long for the next neverending open air session. but don t forget to go home.

** repress 2016 ** two of the black madonnas most sought after early tracks return to circulation alongside one burning new jam on goodbye to all this, the latest release from stripped & chewed. drawn from the chicago labels 2012 compilation livin for the city ep, the piano dappled joy of *exodus* luxuriates across side a, spreading the good word with a pounding beat. *we dont need no music (thank you, rahaan)* from scrs004 takes another whirl around the dancefloor, its pinwheeling horns and infectious vocals pulling even wallflowers into the fray. and in case two remastered sure-shots arent enough, the brand new *who do you need* closes the record with a soulful thwack: half uplifting house, half blistering techno – all peak-time fodder. a fine addition to the black madonnas discography alongside records for argot, the nite owl diner, hometaping is killing music, and of course stripped & chewed.

a side brings rudman s finest house sounds for this heavy dancefloor produced track, but in the same time moody and balearic with a strong synth bassline that easely took control of the vibe and transformed it to a strong dance effect. for the b side imogen meets nunorthern soul artist dos palos with a slower tempo track with ilija rudman s instrumental stripped down mix of the lady of the west way. this remix sounds and could easily be integrated in any motion picture end having that powerful vibe of goodbye.

after the very first release by the romanian producer alex baciu, zefzeed is the protagonist of the second release with amazing hyperclub ep: a dreamy trip on deep vibrations and hypnotizing sounds still keeping your feet on the dancefloor. the ep starts with *hyperclub*, a catchy track with an obscillating groove and trippy chords. instead, the second track *dar stai putin* is a journey with elegant sounds towards warm dancefloor beats.

berlin-based palms trax continues adding to his run of quality efforts with the forthcoming release of his high point on low ground ep: impressive effort number two for the dekmantel imprint. serving up three retro-futuristic killers, donaldson parades his ability to touch on the many different corners of contemporary house music, whilst delivering heavyweight dancefloor standards. the title track blazes a beaten-up vocal snippet over stanked-out synths, stretched to a breaking point across a low-riding bass line. a stabbing moroder-esque bass line dominates cloud city , whilst paws equals pure and raw broken-beat bliss with a pinch of acid.

for finitude music s 5th release, label owner marcel heese and alexander kowalski aka d_func. share their visions on thought control. both tracks on the ep harbour the same intent, but each of them approaches it in a different way. d_func. s take revolves around sahko-like bleeps, if you are into early mika vainio or sleeparchive, look no further! but instead of being loopy, it s definitely a builder. its original trance track-like structure is sure to rock many an underground dancefloor. marcel s vision is slower and less straight-forward but creates and maintains a high tension. based on dense a bassline and intricate soundscapes, it builds up slowly, only to explode halfway through. an extra payoff also comes at the very end of a track, its noise/ambient outro making a perfect way to wrap up an amazing party at 8am somewhere deep in the heart of berlin.

ruhig comes back after one year with particles ep as first installment of a double ep on midgar. the record opens with particles, an atmospheric detroit influenced cut made out of synthlines dropping like voodoo spells, epic pads and fragmented beats. eddying follows up with a more direct approach to the dancefloor, 4/4 stomping beat and thin hi-hats backed by lasers and passionate ambiances. etere on the b-side gives the records an halfway breath, sounds like a late afternoon walk in the fields of a southern countryside village (with constructions going on somewhere nearby), before to start again with the sweet and eerie perle, where droney pinching drums are flooded by a swarm of dreamy fireflies. idiom to close the ep with a fast syncopated cut, showing the approach of ruhig to any form of musical expression and genre, far from traditional ambient or deep techno and going further, to reach out daring and more demanding levels.

• * sabato in pineta* is a track written by these 3 guys (cosimo colella, fabio liuzzi, carmine mongelli) after a great party between the woods of their favorite club, sound department. they capture the feelings and the emotions and write this track in few hours. the emotional impact is really strong, with a great work on surreal pads and trippy synths. the listener can be projected into the atmosphere of the club, but this is sure not only a dancefloor oriented work. andres, with his version, give us a great remix, with his usual amazing use of drums and deep and reminiscent pads. fabio della torre finish the ep with an high quality dub version, more raw and intense on the grooves.

crossing back on the floor. avion delivers 2 new techno slices packed with mastermind remixes by tripeo and blind observatory. the release starts with the ‘intro‘ which brings up the mood of the record with futuristic signal bleeps and a warm analogue pad surrounded by kicking and stuttering percussions. the original of ‘centum‘ starts slowly to bring up heavy bassline surrounded by bright noises and alternating noise swirl verbed to voices highlighting partial explosions to end with bleep and soft strings. crossing 006 this time welcomes two fantastic artists as remixer and lays down ‘centum‘ to tripeo and blind observatory for their re-­&#8208,,interpretation. tripeo stays on the rough and kicking side of techno and delivers with his interpretation packed with the original strings and an analogue synth noise accompanied by a straight drumwork and cutted hi hats a kicking weapon for the floor. the myterious blind observatory takes the vibe of the original and pumped it with an acid bass to create a parallel universe built by dreamy strings highlighting the rides to lose control in the perfect moment. a real dancefloor killer.

lisbons event promotor frenzy, kicks off 2016 with its first release, and its a massive one. portuguese house don pedro goya (classic music company, bloop, overall, music for freaks) delivers a functional deep dancefloor-ish theme - flux. rolling bassline, heavy mental atmosphere and four on the floor drums, turn this record into a very versatile and reliable one. on the b-side, the remix. archie hamilton simply did what he does best. vinyl only

as an encore to the mesmerizing ccc: bb: bbb: jj release on kontra-musik, tyler friedman brings out his version of what he thinks -dj techno tools- are. this is music for the dancefloor alright, but it s a dancefloor from a strange and slightly uncanny dream. tyler explores the sonic field between the chillingly precise and the vivaciously warped - the disciplined and the untamed. he thrives in that space, creating an eerie microcosmos of evolving harmonies and rhythms that seem to have lives of their own - like music coming out from a haunted clockwork. a suiting apparatus for a label unconcerned with the conventions of time.
