after appearing with c-beams recently,break sl strikes back with a massive track called desert flight that has already been causing a stir amongst the uncanny valley crew for quite a while.over the course of ten minutes the track unwinds as an analogue slowhouse trip that is dominated by a gritty synth figure.with typical sophisticated break sl drums,radio transmitted messages directly from the cockpit and a freaked out siren its a track that is not from this world. the flipside starts off in a more classical manner with the rumbling house of amorphed limits. the track is distinguished by rapturous synths and gets spiced up through additional drum work by break sls partner in crime manuel sander. beercase song originates from collaboration with dresdens universal genius max rademann. his quirky keys and break sls drum workshop create a dirty piece of funk which rounds up an eclectic ep by a versatile producer.the cover artwork was created by visual artist and designer julien simshäuser who illustrates the trip that is desert flight.

copenhagens favourite wonderchild kasper bjørke is back with his second artist album on hfn music, entitled fool. set for release on april fools day 2012 (april 1st), the album is a playful mixture of abundant, pop-infused bittersweet love songs on the hunger side, and more spaced-out pschedelic disco voyages on the foolish side. amongst the plethora of quality on offer on the lp, we find lose yourself to jenny, one of a handful of songs yet again featuring the wonderful talents of jacob bellens, of murder and i got you on tape fame. the original version is bound to roam the airwaves with its super catch melody line,and bellens mature and intruiging lyrics. 80s newbeat and nu-wave meets modern studio charms in this catchy synth-pop ballad for 2012.

originally recorded in detroit, 1982 by the late danan potts a.k.a. superlife. at that time danan was hanging around the recording institute of detroit where juan atkins was training in production. danan was interested in atkins style of dance music and quickly recorded >go bananas<. bananas was released locally on southern sun records in hyper limited quantity, it is today one of the most sought after underground detroit techno recordings of all time.

the four tracks featured on this ep are all previously unreleased and were produced in london by graham dee between 1967 and 1969.

after a handful of smashing remixes and compilation features on nang records, lusty zanzibar returns to the fold with a cracking solo effort named the >the feeling ep.< title track is a spaced out exercise in immersive square-wave programming, reminiscent of the pre-internet computer gaming age when colours were 8-bit and vivid, and soundtracks were hyper-colour opuses. the complex synth work is underpinned by a driving beat with ethereal vocal wisps and crystalline pads. nice. the first of three remixes for >the feeling< comes from ilya santana, with his >celestial version<, and celestial it is indeed! a picturesque scene is set, the rhythm is wound back and a super laid back vibe allows the vocal line >remember how you are feeling< to sit more purposefully in the mix, alongside the tip-toeing bass line and often euphoric chords. up next comes the max essa dub version, introducing some arp-synth subtleties, replacing the main vocal hook to great effect. to finish we have a mix from fear of theydon who brings a touch of arpeggiated femininity and tasteful woodblock percussion to the table. its a fulfilling yet sultry up-beat journey.
