this disco funk banger was discovered reasonably late in the game on the deepfunk scene. vivian lee s big powerful vocal over the pushy backing is what its all about, straight to the point short and sweet dance floor killer. this sounds better than the o.g which was pretty rough.

the album a little comedy, a little drama by dusty baron is the result of collaboration of moldavian fellows eugen kara, ivan slivka and dima scripnic. this collaboration has been lasting in the course of 2016, with miscellaneous recordings at home studios, including moldavian radio and television studio. inspired by french and italian psychedelic electronic music of 60s and 70s, cartoons and the comedian genre of absurd, the trio tried to incarnate their vision of the space into a lp comprising 13 tracks. vintage synthesiser lines and classic drum machines create a hugely entertaining blend intoxicated with universal love. now and then you trace the combinations of techno rhythms rushing into the futuristic vertical, and sometimes the sound transforms into a blend of absolute and exotically influenced reverie.

vulnicura strings ist eine von streichinstrumenten eingespielte version von björks gefeiertem achten studioalbum »vulnicura«. um einige der arrangements einzuspielen, verwendete björk die weltweit einzige viola organista, ein ursprünglich von leonardo da vinci entworfenes instrument, dessen bau sein erfinder allerdings nicht mehr erlebte. das instrument versetzt mittels eines traktionsriemens einzelne saiten in schwingung (ähnlich einer geige), wobei die saiten durch das anspielen von klaviertasten ausgewählt werden (ähnlich einer orgel). das instrument wurde in krakau von seinem erbauer s&#322,,,,,,awomir zubrzycki aufgenommen, der damit das album zur vollendung brachte.

samaris release silkidrangar sessions ist ein nachfolger und begleiter des letztjährigfen albumdebüts silkidrangar und beinhaltet überarbeitete versionen des originals, welche nun exakt ein jahr später veröffentlicht werden. samaris vereinen sehr ungleiche elemente in ihrer musik, die von elektronischen sounds, über klarinette bis hin zu jófríður Ákadóttirs bezaubernder stimme reichen. samaris mischen kalte elektronik mit gewagten, perkussiven beats und eindringlichen vocals, welche isländischen gedichten des 19. jahrhunderts entnommen wurden. einen großteil des letzten jahres verbrachte die band auf tour und spielte festivals wie roskilde, green man, reeperbahn, longitude, etc. die silkidrangar sessions wurden über zwei tage in reykjavík aufgenommen, und es wurden diverse gastmusiker eingeladen, welche instrumente wie tabla drums, cello, saxophon oder modulare synthesizer einbrachten.
