here uto karem returns to plus 8 for his second release on the label, with the two tracks he serves up - take control and all over you - continuing in the rising italian stars good run of form. as well as being an in-demand remixer, dj and producer, karem also runs his own agile recordings imprint on which he explores the same deep techno rhythms and loopy hypnotism as he does with his two original tracks here.take control is a liquid track which builds in looped layers through piston pumping percussion, up-right beats and plenty of melodic drama. though it pushes on from left to right in true plus 8 style, the warmth and atmosphere that surrounds the main beats and bass is what really sets the track alight. all over you again features a crisp, almost dry production style as various percussive elements flesh out a 4/4 techno groove. hidden within each bar are some wooden sounding hits and various melodic notes, all of which are heart-warming additions to a killer dancefloor groove. as well as this, there is a more driving dub version of take control which canters on a knife edge for its six minute duration, closing out another efficient and streamlined techno release on plus 8.

arjun vagale and tim richards have never met in person, they are cyber friends like a million of other people in the world. their huge musically respect for each other formed the idea to do some music together and kaiserdisco is very proud to present you the result! with a first listen you can say she said is a typical tech-house tune but when you play it again and again you see it is full of little highlights which makes the song so special and catchy. its a very cool combination of beats, drums and top loops which makes this track so energetic. the remarkable break makes the track so unique and turns the club into an inferno. the second track tonkatsu is a real techno-bomb. a very deep bassline combined with the galloping beats keep this track running and running until it falls intothe break wich makes this track even more ecstatic and brings it up to an amazing primtime-stomper, that lets the crowd go crazy and scream but all in a very cool and undergroundy way.this tune is really outstanding and one of the best tracks in our box for weeks.

after a break for over a year pattern repeat is back again with another two tracks on their own label. both kenneth & resoe has been really busy last year, so it has been difficult to meet up in the studio. but now they had the time to finish two tracks of deep dirty techno from the capitol of denmark copenhagen. again they set it of with raw dirty dub infected grooves and the a side starts up right away with the dub elements intact, and then keeps building through the rest of the track. after the short break a hypnotic atmosphere kicks off in best pattern repeat style. the b side starts slowly with an almost alfred hitchcock kind of atmosphere, with a dull kick underneath. the track keeps gettin more dirty through the 6 min. and 15 secs. it last, with more distortion added to the dub stabs. its a good way that kenneth & resoe returns since the last 12 inch they put out in december 2010, to set the stage for 2012.

wax classic is a brand new skylax sub – label. for this 3rd release, we give you the opportunity to grab 5 fantastic trax done by housemaster : jason grove.born in detroit, he started his career in the late 80s, dj-ing in underground parties when the techno house movement was just at the beginning. he was invited few times on detroit local stations such as wdrq & wjlb to play. some said he was at that time very close to the >wizard<, helping producing their first tracks with anthony srock as final cut. he had many opportunities during the 90s to release some of his work on various prestigious labels, however, as the guy is really hardcore & straight edge, he prefered to continue producing only with analog gears (dont ever speak to him about a computer or he?ll get mad !) & record his work on cassette only, selling it to indie stores & giving it to friends for some special events (birthday, graduation ect ... !). after the incredible release we had on wax classic 1 (another skylax sub – label), you can grab finally the 2 nd part of those legendary tapes.

thomas gandeys return is warmly welcomed by dance-floors worldwide. the artist formally known as cagedbaby has consistently made tough, deep, cutting techno and house based tracks, and his latest offering >the piano track< is no different. mr.gandey upped sticks to berlin last year and one can really hear the city that holds so much weight in the history of dance music, in this his latest production. like ronseal, the piano track does exactly what it says on the tin. its a track laced with piano hooks. its stylish, sophisticated and genre-busting, thomas gandey really has gone for the ultimate goose-bump rush! radio slave and thomas gandey have long admired each others work. they have a history of producing and djing together and like tom, matt (radio slave) also comes from brighton and now lives in berlin. after hearing the piano track he dived straight in to the remixing it. in actual fact radio slave remixed the track in a different key and tom re-played the piano making for a really special radio slave re-work

the >drop the mask of self protection< remix of dominik eulberg is a bit of an adventure! unlike his >diorama< album and maybe because of its elaborate musical challenge, he has taken a time-out to create a serious club format in the true eulberg style witnessed on trapez in the past. so what does that really mean for this track? well this remix kicks off a bit of an relaxed percussive and deep house groove and undergoes in its course quite an explosive transformation! with a lot of skill and finesse mr eulberg pulls the strings with accuracy and makes the transfer of what unfolds to be a heavy big pounding techno rocker! thumbs up this is superb and eulberg at his best.

its now the turn of shapednoise for features series, and to complete this ep made of pure adrenaline theres the remix of the well known dino sabatini (outis music,sonic groove, prologue). shapednoise, one of the youngest and most promising artists of the techno scene, is based in berlin, fully living the repitch recordings project. his musical background is really wide, and you can notice it listening to his productions, a futuristic vision of the sound, with industrial elements and synthesizers characterizing his sonority. the second act of the series starts with white light white head: an out of ordinary track, an unusual beat, techno futuristic, that flows into a neo-industrial sound, with soundscapes that make it mental, but at the same time a post-apocalyptic dancefloor hit. dino sabatinis version hypnotizes us, manipulates shapednoises sounds las only he can do, with his incomparable personality, rhythmics and drone evolving until the end of a trip to the edge of reality. cosmic landscapes (the tiltle already tells a lot), is a track with very powerful rhythmics, for the lovers of straight-techno. shapednoise, an artist to absolutely keep an eyes on this year. also this time the artwork of pasquale ascione makes its part: surreal, unique, making you wondering where this faces come from, maybe from our dreams.features series is a whole of musicalities where images and imaginary interpenetrate. supported and played by norman nodge, perc, samuli kemppi, jonas kopp, marcel dettmann, adam x, tommy four seven, lucy, dvs1, pfirter and many others!

this 4-track ep is the first official release from new jerseys mikeq, one of the unquestioned leaders of the current vogue-house scene, and follows in the wake of a slew of self-released tunes he has dropped over the past few years. let it all out is also the second record on kingdoms fade to mind imprint, which has already received mountains of praise despite its short discography. largely built upon raw, upfront drum sounds, recycled snippets of hip-hop and r&b, and, most importantly, the ever-present >ha< (itself a repurposed masters at work sample), vogue house seemingly offered the sort of sound that tastemaking and blog-reading djs would snap up with aplomb. hell, even diplo championed the ballroom scene. yet, for whatever reason, the expected vogue-house explosion hasnt really happened. while a handful of non-ballroom producers and djs (most coming from the world of bass music) have experimented with the genre, the music essentially continues to hum along in the underground.

the londinium ep is the latest release on uzuri recordings and welcomes chicago skyway back to the fold. not that hes been away too long, having produced a full 12 release and contributed to the from chicago turin amsterdam & dublin with love ep just last year. we also welcome hakim murphy to the label – with his credentials it was only a matter of time before our paths crossed!as the title suggests, this release was inspired, conceptually at least, by our nations capital, and its apparent that sean has spent quite enough time here to get the gist of the place, with the b-side tracks entitled traffic and noise, respectively. im sure he loves it here, really.musically, he keeps it closer to his windy city heart – very clearly reflecting his roots, in fact. as a dj and club promoter in mid 90s chicago, sean frequently shared the decks with some of the citys biggest talents at that time – cajmere, gene farris and spencer kinsey (gemini) among them, and one could say that theres an audible relief flavour to a-side, london streets, with its stripped-back, hypnotic stomp. its fitting that hakim murphy remixes the track, coming from similar roots within chicagos scene, and his own reworking retains the drawn-out essence of the original but brings a whole new hips-and-shoulders groove to the track.

we are really excited about this new label and the first two releases have flown out on promo. dr meaker links up with bristol vocalist redskin to hammer out this catchy rave anthem. on the flip you get treated to a remix from man of the moment eddie k who has been on fire this year.

numbernin6 is no new comer to the dubstep scene, but this is his first record for london label smokin sessions. the recordings are blissful and floaty, as you would expect from smokin sessions and really shows off what numnernin6 can do when he goes deep. the whole ep is masterfully produced and you can really hear these tracks have been given a lot of attention. i cant pick a favourite, but all 3 are a great listen. sit back, relax and spark it up rude eye!

another raw techno basics va for the collection. four names that are currently really doing well within the sound. if youre into that peek time dark and funky techno this is a release for you. the a side contains david moleon and iago de la vega teaming up for some funky action while the b side contains a darker daisychain track and an anthem by thermo.

obsession is really the programmatic title of tobias olivers work of the last years. two years after his digital winter / summer release in 2009 and the human technology debut with his electro band datawelt, it is really a obsession of him, to bring out his first solo release on vinyl. if you listen to this record, you will be sure, that tobias oliver was born in a electro disco somewhere in this world. the analogy to the old school electro sound can not be ignored, when he reuses the drum and percussion sounds of well known drum machines of the past, combined with bass and synthlines, pads and strings of analog synthesizers from the past and the future - at the latest by then - you will think, that you are really out of space!

sk 011, 444, centralbron, midsummer night, babar, russian folksong, carbon oxide, i love water, all those brilliant tiga productions... we really don t know what else to say - just try to imagine the history and future of this dance music thing we re all involved in without jesper dahlback... nah, rather not, right? being part of jespers discography is the greatest thing that has happened to studio barnhus up until now and these two tracks, fransson and dx2 rmx, are up there with all those previously mentioned masterpieces. fransson is a freaky, windowlicker-esque jam while dx2 rmx is a dance floor burner which perfectly balances melancholia with joy.

following vincenzos astonishing recent album, >wherever i lay my head<, which really elevated the producers status into the stratosphere, we continue the story with three new remixes, from cult legend tom middleton, smooth-talking newcomers genius of time, and talented uk-based mic newman. tom middleton, who needs no introduction as the legendary producer behind such classic projects as the jedi knights, global communication and cosmos, hands in a modern deep techno remix that shimmers with melody and dubbed out echoes of the original version of >sometimes saturday<. leaning towards epic, with moody old-school synth builds set against contemporary punching bass tones, it certainly doesnt disappoint. swedens maverick slow-housers genius of time rework vincenzos >106 downtown< which is also a work of genius in its own right. the boys add sensitive, detailed down-tempo beats with some wonderful warm swirling vibes mic newman transforms >hello!< into a crafty fresh tech-house groover with his dub remix. floating, ethereal synths mix with bubbling acid and liquid beats in this seriously smooth and complex mix.

just like different fishes can be found in different grounds, also the acoustic tales of the micronaut take place in different regions of the emotional landscape: sometimes warm, sometimes fresh – sometimes calm and stagnant, sometimes lively and floating. and just like all the fishes are connected by the water surrounding them, also this album has its connecting element: a very individual and independent groove. this groove comes with a lot of surprises. for instance, when a guitar chord from the acoustic band atmosphere of gruen- dling suddenly gets tangled up in a loop and introduces an unexpected but coherent change into the direction of broken, electronic beats. or when the emotional world music elements of schleie mix up with exciting halfstep rhythms. sophi- sticated arrangements, unusual instrumentations and intense emotions- these are the main attributes of friedfisch . though the experimental character of this work does not really aim the dance floor, it still keeps connected to this place: two sensitive remixes by mollono.bass represent the upbeat for an entire series, being exclusively released on vinyl.

this is a really strong release from viper and they have once again enlisted the production talents of metrik. on the flip he links up with vocal legend kathy brown to really put the finishing touches to this epic release.

following the debut lp on ki, we have put together a few of our favorite artists to remix some tracks of their choice. it was important for us, that the artists kept their individual approach to their genre, so that we could get a very diverse release. first up is the japanese producer stereociti, who just released his debut album on mojuba records. he gives the title track >reisegefaehrte< his very own deep touch. second up is our close friend glitterbug, who seems to create a very own genre with his interpretation of >barracuda<. on the flipside stundman goes straight to the dancefloor. jacking beats and pounding basslines are his >reminder<. and as if p.laoss knew what the real deal is, he turned >subsistence< into a fata morgana trip back to the time when dub was really dub. perfect completion of what we expected from this remix ep.

the new phoenix g (pg039) is an excellent deep and hypnotizing release. relying heavily on one shot chords and thumping vintage drum machines this is one for the bag. the a1 concequences is a real deep one with nice open hats and good places chords. a real open mix for the late / early hours. the b1 is a real vintage percussive slammer with nice one shots that together create a real oldschool vibe. the latin vocal in this track gives it a somewhat different vibe,really good for the dancefloor.the b2 is a dark peak time anthem. this will go off at any quality house evening. what a strange but wonderful vibe those rhodes in the middle are giving.true analog deephouse by mr.g

müller records, the berlin-based label, has a long and proud tradition of high-quality releases. it also has a strong track record in sniffing out up-and-coming talent - acts like berliner falk romstedt, alias hawkinson. his eps and remixes - check his former eps and remixes on muller records- hadalreadyshownthathewasequallyathome creating techno with a driving groove as he was knocking out strong and detailed synth melodies. now his first lp is being released on müller records. klaf , put succinctly, is an album that picks up the style of hawkinson s previous singles and runs with it. (or: that expands on the style of hawkinson s previous singles.) it s a story written by the dance floor, for the dance floor. hawkinson is processing the experiences and emotions he s had over the past few years both as consumer and dj and really shows us where his roots lie - in techno! the influence of detroit is all over this record and can be heard straight away, with strings, melodies and soulful surfaces drawing you in immediately.

nanotek joins the subdiv fam with a track that has all the twists and turns of a lynch film laced with the tempermental edge of mark chopper read on a comedown. venus is truly subviolenz.on the flip and only because there always has to be two sides of a story and the story being machinecode and nanotek is devestating. aptly named nanomachine this reduced tempo beast really grinds your soul out of ya bones back in to the mechanical furnace. supported by every rotten filthy floor destroying subhead known to man and machine. the future is violenz!

here comes the master on carillon also known as alessio mereu. with an ep that soon will be released on steve bugs legendary pokerflat imprint, alessio delivers to our label a single really different from his typical style and approach to electronic music ... hot as hell!
first on the a side we have >hot - spot< a track with a taste of electronic and latin vibes with psychedelic voices and a solid groove.
then we have alex cellers version (cecille - area remote) that takes the main sense of the track and rebuilts it for a very stylish version rich of percussions and emotionality.
for the b-side we have >fire - hot<, a groovy club track for peak times with spoken vox sample from black poetry that really reminds the 80s rap style from the ghetto.

wigbert franze from offenbach/germany, a new face in the scene? not really. under his jon may pseudonym he already released several productions in the past. with his new moniker wigbert hes back stronger then ever. >feeling<, the maintrack on the ep is a epic journey with a big two minutes break, nice pianos, ravesignals and wigberts own modulated voice. on b1 we have a dark stompin knarz techno track also refined with his unique voice. last but not least we welcome basti grub on board. his remix for feeling need no more words. typical groovy basti grub style. release comes in clear blue vinyl!
