the second release on the clone loft supreme series... the disco dons of elitechnique with the much sought after munich emotions track (which previously was released as limited test pressing of 100 copies which changed hands for big amounts on ebay and discogs) and double destiny on the flip. munich emotions is an epic disco track full of live instruments, old analogue synths all recorded in their own studio. the flip has the new school-ish disco track called double destiny. a super sweet track that goes somewhere inbetween metro area and putsch 79 but with a more epic arrangement. these guys did a hell of a job!! classic tracks that already got big support!
according the info provided by the label this is all new tracks from art forest, the actual son of cybotrons rik davis. some freaked out electro techno that harks back to the early days of model 500. we are not sure if they are telling the truth (or are we sure they are not telling the truth!? stuff like this does not come around often.... dont sleep!!
clone v2.0! clone back in its new form.. a series of specialized series dedicated to different functionalities, emotions and styles of electronic music. the clone loft series will be releasing more traditional house and ny influenced disco for the smaller and more intimate club settings. first of reggie dokes with probably his best release so far! a-side is a dirty but massive house track that goes down very well in any house set! at first notice this might be the main track... which most likely it is for more peak-time use... but actually our favorite is the fierce i wear the mask track on the flipside. this track has a nice jumpy beat, very light... but such a balanced rhythm that it will grab one for sure. on top it has layers of strings and a bouncy bassline and very staccato keys... and everything is so well balanced, so sensitive that it really gives us goosebumps all over! it reminds even to some derrick may tracks where he managed to make his songs emotional and fragile with the same kind of timbre and hidden energy (but then less 909 orientated and such...) it has that force, that gentle force of magic that frees that inner energy, that inner power that makes you wanna dance. what a stunning track and what a strong release by mr dokes. essential!
mufo has garnered attention a few years ago with his c.l.a.u.d.i.a. 12-inch for kompakts k2 imprint, and sounds set to do so again with colors. anything but monochromatic, >one color< opens with stripped-down, tech-house swing before adding shuffling pulses and melodic accents that are both jittery and robotic. working itself up to a skittish, metronomic broil, the track exudes an android relentlessness that?s offset by repeated change-ups. on the b-side, di francesco brings the funk on >two colors<, six minutes of swizzling electro-techno whose palette is anything but muted. the tune squawks and sputters like some incessantly sneezing synthesizer apparatus in what could pass for a fractured 23rd-century techno take on zydeco. with this release in hands, its again proven without a doubt, that persistencebit continues the global hunt for quality. supported by: robert leiner (www.leinermedia.net): >good use of the korg wavestation on both< andrew duke (andrew duke in the mix radio brodcast since 1987): >excellent my favourite track is one color< ryaz khan (ww.chry.fm / myspace.com/diversionsradioshow): >solid release i love both cuts<xpansul (minus, plus 8 records): >two colors is great. thanks.<

persistencebit returns with the follow up ep of wang incs meditations for a better world series, which first part on persistencebit has been highly acclaimed and has been given incredible reviews, such as in de.bug magazine among many others. previously on sonig, bip-hop, and context, he now reappears with number two of the series and once you start listening you will know it all makes sense, given how close in spirit wang inc. s fresh fusion of experimental treatments and funk-house grooves is laid down. throughout the ep, wang speckles his fabulous metal machine music with rolling bass lines, high-stepping beats, and brilliant splashes of synthetic colour, whether it s the pounding stepper mind the gap or the pulsating future-funk of you are late a near-perfect fusion of experimental and dance musics, hyperactive dog splatters its house-inflected steam-roller with showers of whirr and click, and animates it with snares that hit so hard they could chop your head off. in the closer track this is the song to say goodbye he brings us electronic noise and beat madness to round things up and create a diverse sounding listening experience

made to play brings the noise with the sounds of wearhouse music and head honcho lee mortimer. lee mortimers exciting, sleazy, demented take on house has been kicking the sh*t out of dance floors and festivals the world over. this e.p is not for the faint hearted but is for those who like to rock a big crowd in a ballistic way. when jimi hendrix played not just one but both sides of it at woodstock in the 70s the place went off its tits and when he reverted back to playing the guitar it just couldnt compare and he never quite got over that. lee mortimer is currently reveling in mass support from the likes of switch, claude vonstroke, diplo and kriss akabusi who apparently likes to play these tracks as a post love ritual, naked and chanting awooga! round the camp fire he has in his bedroom. if you want to embellish the feeling of either hendrix or akabusi in the primes of their existences then get stuck into this release and youll feel like a combination of the two peaking on acid.
