abba war eine schwedische popgruppe und eine der weltweit populärsten musikgruppen ihrer zeit. mit fast 400 millionen1 verkauften tonträgern gehört abba zu den erfolgreichsten bands der musikgeschichte.die band formierte sich 1972. ihren internationalen durchbruch schaffte sie 1974 mit dem sieg ihres titels waterloo beim eurovision song contest im englischen seebad brighton. charakteristisch für die gruppe waren die zu dieser zeit ausgefallenen bunt-poppigen kostüme, die die musiker während ihrer auftritte und in den musikvideos trugen.

the album also features a song co-written by agnetha fältskog. although she had composed much of her swedish solo output, the song disillusion , for which she wrote the music, is the only song released on an abba album to feature a songwriting contribution from her.

nachdem die gruppe 1973 von ihrem sommerurlaub zurückgekehrt war, widmeten sich benny andersson und björn ulvaeus der komposition neuer lieder. der erste song, der in diesen sessions aufgenommen wurde, war dance (while the music still goes on), welcher sehr von den aufnahmen von phil spector inspiriert war. es folgten im oktober die aufnahmen für my mama said, honey honey, what about livingstone und suzy-hang-around. im november wurde lediglich der king kong song aufgenommen, der später von vielen fans als „der albernste song, den die band jemals produziert hat“ bezeichnet wurde.

fresh & ltd repress !! mark murphy is a jazz singer legend. he started in the late 50is, ruled the 60is and his records are a hipsters must have since the 70is. then he came to fame again when one gilles peterson got him into dingwalls in the late 80is and japanese producers united future organisation made murphys version of stolen moments (he wrote the lyrics) really big. recently he releases his second album love is what stays on verve (germany), produced by famous german trumpeter till brönner. another famous german producer, yes its henrik schwarz, touched the original track with its deep vocals and full orchestrra arrangement and created the ultimative fusion of jazz and the recent deep house sound from berlin. extremly tasteful. you will never heard strings, wooden brass, and such deepnees of murphy featured in the recent clubcontext but will do thanks to henrik schwarz. different to many others this remix gets released right after being finished in henriks studio so you can say this is the sound of the moment
