the ambient and soundscapes wing of photic fields, first notions, sets sail on the winds of helge tommervag, better known as mind over midi (silent season, diametric). ten tracks make up explore. frigid landscapes are given an audio voice. sparseness and the unnoticed are turned to by tommervag, the natural landscape of his cold and rugged homeland being the inspiration for this album.

the new compilation for mindtrick records contains 16 original tracks by mindtrick veterans such as delete, tangent, known rebel, evs and head honcho atiq. and there are some newcomers who have also lined up an ep for the label that will be released somewhere after the compilation. amongst these artists are eusebeia, the indian aeon waves and a modular synthesis ep by sb-six.
there are also some tracks from well known artists like funckarma with a remix by legiac , we have bong-ra returning to the label under his new darkjazz guise the thing with five eyes and the travel aka deformer from which we released his debut album nyctophobia earlier this year.

die vierte veröffentlichung des labels parallel minds kommt von einem langjährigen freund des labels und einem der eigenwilligsten künstler der stadt, vibrant matter. als schlagzeuger, produzent, filmkomponist, dj und veteran der experimentellen popszene der stadt fasziniert kieran adams musik uns beim label schon lange. ciel, die mitbegründerin des labels, war schon in ihren anfängen als lokale promoterin/dj von adams psychedelischen und perkussiven dj-sets inspiriert und fand in jemandem, der ähnlich vielfältige musikalische interessen teilte, einen verwandten geist.
die fünfte veröffentlichung von parallel minds ist ein wichtiger meilenstein für das label aus toronto. es ist nicht nur die erste lp in voller länge, sondern auch das debütalbum der mitbegründerin ciel, die auch ihren ersten soloauftritt auf dem label seit dessen gründung hat.
