home invasion is the new label from real tone man franck roger, a man whose career has scaled the full depths of house music over the past decade or so. evidently seeking a new challenge, the parisian s new imprint promises to adhere to a vehemently underground way of working and produced exclusively on analogue equipment. franck is back again for another solid ep, this time coco bongo is taking the level really high with some mpc beats, weird stabs going thru analog delays mixed with some spring verb to give a unique sound and direction on this one. hypnose is one of the first series of hypnotic low techno direction wich franck wants to go back, using some modular sequences aswell on this one. virgo will surely please some of the deepcore heads around with a ruff beat and hypnotics stabs still mixed in differents external effect wich franck got the secret.

joel martin and gerry rooney first surfaced as velvet season & the hearts of gold back in 2012 with the first of three salacious 12-s for lucky hole records that really got the refined disco lovers hot under the collar. following a smattering of remix commissions and a wonderful debut for resista, velvet season & the hearts of gold rear back into view with witch doctor love, a two track 12- of late night voodoo dancefloor material issued by love circle. the title track is a chunk of tough and moody house music, all sleazy whispered vocals and trippy electronics, the results are nothing less than intoxicating. complementing this, -fish powder dance- sees the pair s disco influences come to the fore on a superb fusion of classic strings, vocal harmonies, and joyous basslines over a bumping early 90s house groove

zaquoir alias matthias groß is a producer and musician currently living in leipzig. after sending us more than 10 gigabites of great music, we sat down together and tied a selection of his really eclectic styles of production together into one lp, creating some sort of showreel created in the timespan of over 15 years. zaquoir himself sees the record as a reminiscent mood of a donkey in the sardinian sun and describes the record as a trip in itself, allowing the listener to traverse the lines of various acoustic landscapes. the tracks on the lp where produced in six different places, including a historic house in the centre of vilnius, the artist residency blumen in leipzig, a french-german art association and a village in northern bavaria.

having championed underground dance sounds for many years now, dj/producer felix dickinson really seems to be hitting his stride now, and on a days reality, his second full length single for futureboogie, felix serves up perhaps his most accomplished works to date. collaborating with legendary chicago vocalist, robert owens (fingers inc/frankie knuckles), the pair produce a standout song that pulls on the very best of influences and delivers a modern day classic in the making.

last spotted together on the cut some three years ago with their eponymous debut lp, the crew like kaidi tatham, akwasi mensah, matt lord, and dego ‘ranks’ mcfarlane reunite for this fresh 2000black 12&#8243,,,,,. off the christmas card list is apparently a precursor to a second album from the quartet and it’s the last 12&#8243,,,,, in a fine year for 2000black that saw the killer dego lp as the centrepiece. the a-side is dedicated to the title cut, an endlessly slinky boogie number that really showcases the collective musicality of this crew, whilst the b-side is split between “hurry whilst they are away” and “fila high”. the former is bugged out beat down west london-style, and the latter a killer latin-flecked cut.

the vinyl factory has teamed up with french label zone for another rugged techno four tracker, this time from close associate and well established production talent maelstrom. though his name suggests total chaos, maelstroms music belies intention, focus and precision. often marked as exciting newcomer to french techno, maelstrom has actually been making music for over fifteen years. with a cryptic history of aliases and side projects, illegal raves thrown in warehouses and fields and basements, the artist has really come into his own under this moniker. the optics ep showcases metallic techno, acid house, industrial noise and stark ambient sounds, forging smokey machine music for those with a penchant for post punk and a soft spot for the spikier end of the techno spectrum.

our little label have grown static, we reached the fourth vinyl release. times it call, and brings it to the point. the young producers maurits and luca barletta done a really good job. with their different styles they took you on a journey in time and space. luca barletta made a tune reduced on old school beats with some dub chords. that brings every house lover a smile in the face and make them dance until there is no tomorrow. maurits an awesome talented young producer made a modern deep techno track. with dry beats and huge basses. straight forward through the night, thats the maxim of his sound. including some remixes by chris bc & rhadow

uc005 is music for sideways times when down is up and up is down. golden round circus and i couldnt fool around no more are spiritual kin to michael wynn band s dark night and straight shooter s frame of mind.chugging, cosmic aor by heads for heads. golden round circus elevates the mind with hypnotic synth and i couldn t fool around no more soars on open drum breaks, guitar solos and multitracked harmonies. nobody knows what s really going down with the mysterious viking known as the keeper. here s what we know: the keeper is swedish, has some previous work in nemas problemas on fasaan recordings, and an upcoming release on passport to paradise. while we ve been sworn to reveal no more information, the keeper is more than welcome to the universal cave family.

cristi cons and vlad caia are household names that really need no further introduction. their dj sets are techno stories well told and their live act is already making waves worldwide. amphia is first and foremost the platform they use to broadcast their finest works. such is the case of sideways, their latest lp, containing more than a dozen tracks coming your way trilogy style.
the first part reveals six tracks on two heavyweight discs. although most of the tracks fit the usual sit musical approach, the listener is greeted with a wide pallete of rhythms. assemble is an atmospheric dub infused with violins and orchestral echoes. permissive starts things up with a playful bass progression and continues with lush pads and cryptic voices. brooklyn’s deep moody synths and monster groove render it broken poetry at it’s best. for sure it will resemble those early danceable mornings. on a more joyful manner we are presented next with bootcamp s sturdy baseline and playful modulated vocals.
mandatory claims a whole side of the second disc and so does come around. while the first is almost experimental but danceable and warm due to the occasional driving percussions and 303 sounds the latter is the star of the show. come around is 15 minutes long and comes with a story too. a great collection of tracks, a great story that backs each one of them makes the first part of the sideways lp trilogy a treat to listen and dance to.

one sided 7inch color blue. with one track... probably french only can understand the joke. its a song from gainsbourg called le poinconneur des lilas transformed into the partyguy from les lilas. kind of an anthem for free party guys. a bit like the one night in hackney, but in a free party french version. as the sound was nasty we went and cut this properly in a decent studio, and sound is really amazing compared to the you tube version. a superb little collectable tune. enjoy!

the two track evolutions ep sees enzo siragusa and alexkid each give us their own personal take on the infamous kilimanjaro sound. label head enzo once again fuses his junglist past with sleek tech beats on the a side in the form of desire skippy percussion imbuing the track with a real sense of funk before a monster 90s style b-line cuts through the mix to really nail the floor.
alexkid steps up with his trademark dubby style on the flipside with wear your cape, razor sharp percussion and a cavernous bass taking the track to deliciously lofty heights. both tracks are logical progressions from the notorious kilimanjaro sound they pioneered.

the meant label really is on a fine run in 2015, and now offers up its 3rd release of the year. this one is a brilliant, club ready package from rework and features excellent original material alongside carefully clickbox remix.

eklo 032 is really proud to present you justin zerbst. he had released music between 97 & 99 onthe australian label red ember records from ewan jansen . some unreleased tracks from 98 & 99 in here, plus a track repressed from red ember, old school deep shit, lets rave.

the new record follows 2013s at the back of beyond, which was warmly received creatively and commercially, and inspired ntjam to perform throughout holland and across europe. that was an album that was a part of me, and that needed to explore my poppy side, she says. im grounded in jazz and soul, and pop. but as a songwriter, i really needed to go through that album to learn how to play the guitar, to see and hear what kind of songs i would write, and also to put the guitar on the palette literally being able to pick the guitar up to write.

parages 009 is ojpb (known as bowly) first ep on this label, a side project oriented house and disco. the a side starts with « pénétrante », a disco house track, with classic bassline and nice chords groove. on the second track, its simoncino’s remix. the italian with a strong taste for chicago house, signed on mathematics, lies and more… he turns the track into a wild west tune with deep sounds and melodic lines keeping the groove.b side starts with a deep percussive house track, super melodic and really catchy with a detroit influence…..you got to pay your dues man. last one is a super catchy disco edit that will stay in your head and bring some dance moves that you didnt know of.

finally after 3 years season 1 comes to an end. the birth of concept that has led to the evolution of who we are today. we’ve had the pleasure of working with some incredibly talented artists that have been an inspiration to us helping us shape and form a part of our identity. that is because several reasons is not just about the music, it is about the experience, the exploration, the collaboration, the up times and the down times, the good times and the better times, for the journey… closing off the first season made no other sense than to seal it with a special collaboration from the owners of several reasons, dubit & mynude. an ep that that truly provokes and challenges boundaries of the stereotypical label of “music”. covering all aspects of ambient, atmospheric and experimental types of sounds, the release really an experiment of psychoacoustics.

in this ep he presents two faces from two different cultures: lazarusman is a south-african poet, and bjerk peterson is a mexican musician with latin influences. piek joins lazarusman on not afraid, a journey with fat synths and epic melodies. with the english man demarzo on the remix duties, his interpretation proves that he is really in shape right now. one more night is another winner track, which goes hypnotic thanks to the powerful bass and a magic voice as the hook. daniel kyo offers a different and a more personal techno reinterpretation, stunning and as emotive as the original. enjoy!

the two dirty birdies from hageby are back with the back in the day ep! the title cut flips a classic brooklyn funk sample into a deep house burner, last night really gives it to us (baby), and estrelar showcases the groovy disco side of the wo. rounding out the ep is a daniel leseman remix that reworks the title track into a completely fresh production, bringing the deep dance floor heat for which the fouk member and outplay records co-boss is known. all killa no filla!

french producer julien saillenfait (deapmash) is delivering broad shouldered textures and sequences with attitude for the sophomore stale output. from the jump, the picture that the french producer is painting shows really vivid. intrusing rhythms that pierce through ear canals and are nicely propped up by taints of distorting and peculiar vocal cuts.

444/5/6 is the first four-track ep signed by unc on the very recently born techno label aiia recordings based in lyon, france. unc (also known as dubit) means « uncompromise » (unc0mpr0m153), even by laws and habits of techno, for a free production and a free interpretation of this music composed by this berlin based techno producer. 444/5/6 is blending different ways of sound creation, as if every element in life might be used in unc s music. some industrial samples are combined with dark techno basslines and ambient synths, attesting of the experimental side of the artist. in his work, unc is giving a true estheticism to sounds normally cold and impersonal in the context of daily life. 444 blends a kind of dark and deep samples which reverberate on an almost acid but hypnotic rythm.sloven s re-interpretation of 444 puts in this track, keeping the original samples, some digital sounds on a evolving rythm... like an heart, beating and racing along this track. 445 is the most electronic, rythmically speaking, track of this ep. still gathering techno, with adding industrial samples, which makes 445 the kind of experimental track by unc. 446 is the track which most refers to techno as it s known and produced nowadays. when soft and really high synths meets agressive and speedy rythms.

for the sixth release on people must jam, we headed to poland to find two very special guys that make up ptaki. ptaki have been making ripples around the world for their unique approach to putting together a record or two and having just recently dropped their album przelot those ripples have turned to waves. we are proud to announce their new record - antypody that will possibly turn those waves tidal! ptaki have delivered a wonderful varied ep with four different cuts. kicking off with the crazy uptempo hi-nrg disco cut milosc after which the record moves into the more gorgeous balearic territory of termy. this blew us all away when we first heard it. on the flip lotnik showcases some solid house roots before the ep ending on the porn sampling and rather brilliant radio roman. we are really stoked to have these boys on board for what we feel is going to be a very sought after record. 180g vinyl - strictly limited.

this release is a collection of big names of the electronic music history, some of them are legends: pete tong & john monkman lead the list of big artists in this ep, they had produced the bumps a few months ago and now we can see the remixes of that track.
for the remix duties, suara is proud to have on board one of the biggest names of electronic music movement with more than 20 million albums sold, 8 songs in the uk singles chart, masterpieces like play or 18. the name of the remixer is moby, whom did a delicate and sophisticated deep house track for his debut on suara.
coyu is in the package too with a dancefloor, melodic, powerful interpretation of the original and julien jeweil did a really cool revision of the track in a techno way.

the maghreban is new to house music, and doesnt really listen to house music, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. he has worked extensively in other genres under other names. looking at house from these sideways perspectives perhaps gives him an interesting angle on it. these first two tracks sound a little vintage and there is much more of this stuff to come, all quite dancefloor orientated. early support from call super and gatto fritto and radio play from thristian on nts.

andré laos second act on let s play house is a continuation of his first. like roundabout, nordic delight (the guy hails from gothenburg, so you can guess where the title originated), is sunny and bright piano laden house that s as melodious as it is layered and ornate. unlike that ep, though, this one really revolves around one track stroganoff which is presented in three different forms: a vocal mix, a piano stew dub, and a remix from anton klint of tiedye. supplementing and equalizing those is kalops, the 12inches second original.

jack cutter is a songwriter and guitarist based in the san francisco bay area in california. he started with a $5 banjo just after finishing high school. in university, during the late 60’s, he performed with bar bands in buffalo, new york. after completing university and a year as an aerospace engineer, he decided that attack helicopters were not really what the world needed and so he headed off to california in pursuit of music and mystic times. fast forward to fall 2014: jack is playing his quintessential tune, ‘gift of our fathers’ in the sf bart subway to an onslaught of morning commuters when he was spotted by 40 thieves. eureka! love at first sight and in the next few months, two of jack’s original acoustic pieces were given the 40 thieves treatment. enter david sanderson aka david harks, a singer, songwriter, producer and label curator from the east sussex region of the uk. ‘having fallen in love with the cosmic boogie (of 40 thieves classic ‘backward love’) i really felt i would love nothing more than to write a tune with them. layne got back in touch with a track he was working on entitled serpent strut with jack cutter and we worked via email over a few months to brew up that misty soul.’ deep, stony, psychedelic, drawing from the well of hawkwind, joni mitchell, david crosby, baffo banfi and tolkien-tinged acoustic led zep, the proof of concept is now complete and in the capable and loving hands of claremont 56.

vent adds yet again new sonic influences to its palette, this time owing thanks to its main curator tolga baklacioglu. with this release, we are pleased to add more than just a sprinkle of industrial and ebm influences to the catalogue of records we are proud to say is the sound of vent. to make things even better, one of more interesting techno producers as of late, and also sweden’s favourite son - daniel andréasson - wanted to lend us a hand to really bring the point home with this record. laden heavy with distortion, this release goes further than one can call the lofi sound - instead the thought is taken to its logical conclusion: distortion is as much an element in its own right as time, space and velocity.

having debuted on valcrond video label last year with the immured 12- under her familiar xosar alias, sheela rahman now returns to the platform for some shared make-believe with founder luke wyatt for new project body tools. taking a catalogue number as its title, this two track 12inch follows a succession of body tools radio broadcasts on berlin community radio and showcases a softer, more hypnotic side which in the case of lead track locusts & lions hits hard when the poignant piano makes its presence felt. brave channels a strange, modern kosmische vibe that will really hit the spot deep in the mix.
