rush hour presents a new series of releases entitled >voyage direct<. tom trago, one of the most prominent producers on rush hour records, who has produced several releases for this label since 2006, curates this series. in 2009 he presented his first voyage direct output and in 2010 he started selecting tracks for >voyage direct<, which presents a collection of his favorite producers & tracks. the saga of >voyage direct< continues. the third release is a very classy one. house of jezebel aka legowelt takes us back to the warehouse days with his epic version of soul classic >love & happiness<. granted, this sample has been used a few times before, but this is simply one of the strongest versions ever to appear. comes as vocal and instrumental version

after the success of the >nathaniel x project ep< in may, the parisian label finally comes back with another killer ep! from this label calling all souls and spirits from the old skool new jersey house, early italian after-hours house and chicagoan finests, from music station, to prescription underground, to palmares, to goldtone … who is paris underground trax? we dont really know, as the label wants to keep the producers name secret! only thing we know is that these tracks were produced in 2010 by a young french dude! so again, these are proper 90s vibes, in the purest deepest tradition, heavy kick, fat basslines, hard swing and massive oldschool keyboards! kerri chandler: >great tracks, i love them all<

the man who brought you destination calabria is back! alex gaudino returns in 2010 with an absolute bang with i m in love (i wanna do it) feat. maxine. great vocals, catchy sound - just an anthem that screams summer, sunshine, sex ... you can almost touch the summer just by listening to this! the vinyl includes mixes from robbie rivera, kurd maverick, jupiter ace and paolo sandrini.

the paso label return with a head turning pair of remixes from anja schneider and steve lawler that are set to feature on sebroks upcoming artist album the pain. this is a pile driver ladies and gents, this is big show!

its not often we end up releasing four singles from an album, but with the tuneful love supreme standout track >waiting for the love< we seem to have achieved it. penned with uk based benjamin james smith, (who also delivers the snappy vocal) the track screamed single right from the start. heading up the remix package are two stomping mixes from synth-wizards, chicken lips. dean and andy keep the catchy vocal but overdrive things in the synth department. their vast armoury of sounds and accomplished arrangement makes this mix one to be really proud of.

negative a is common for this pounding style and one of the recognized artist on the well respected dna label who scored big hits with >white fluids of dna<, >loops & drinks<, >one man army< and his recent bomb >be positive<!

yes, stefano e bene are big fans of italo disco. in their >happy sunshine studio< they work on their own definition of this sound. actually, the two boys do not come from italy. but their friend hard ton does. together with this really big artist, who already released on dissident, gigolo and permanent vacation, they created >why your love<, the first stefano e bene single. a track for the disco, for the summer and for the love. for remixing duties, stefano e bene asked the jackers from snuff crew. also hard ton himself and katzbatz, the project of stefano and cologne based dj catweasel did a mix.

stepping up to the remix plate, we have mr greg wilson, a bona fide global edit institution, and thomas bullock esq. (as welcome stranger) who s turned in an abstract gem that works equally on the dancefloor or your headphones

in the world of factory presets, default settings and copy-paste ethics, there are few artists that actually care to make a difference. and -who told you that?-, 29th release on warsaw recognition label, is certainly a voice to be heard. the title track is another subtle narrative from label boss jacek sienkiewicz. eerie chord and a solid, damp beat from the start are underpinned by sherds of dialogue - snippets of words and laughter keep coming back in the mix, providing some sort of uneasy commentary towards todays minimal house formula. but at some point the voices disappear - and then the tracks gently goes somewhere outside the boundaries of todays club music, somewhere otherworldly. this shift, albeit amazingly subtle, is a leap towards music free of any defined context, far beyond dancefloor and definitely original. if this sneak peak into the possible futures of manmachine induced visions is too much to handle, there is still the b-side of this release. two tracks here - both clocking around mere 5 minutes - are prime exercises in compact, clever, tight and efficient club tools. uplifting -cobalt drive- is bound to to be quoted and reworked into many forms of a late-night burner. patefon, on the other hand, is a peak-time stormer with its stuttering chords and moody samples, supposedly picked from some vintage shellac discs

right in the middle of a summer of love, franck roger singles out the freaknchic dyed soundorom, who gives us his vision of bondage in the already sultry love call. in a chicago and late nights berlin-style, the piece is erotic and will leave you wondering whats next.supported by luciano, matthew dear, ivan smagghe, laurent garnier, deetron, shinedoe, sebo k, quentin harris, anja schneider, dj gregory, djulz, sascha dive, dj spinna, le loup, rocco, ryan crosson, ekkohaus, gummihz, brothers vibe, ralf gum, lee curtis…

just who are the >agents of time< in the title of mathew jonsons debut solo album? is it a reference to futurism, or to the here and now? is it us, are we them?
whatever the case, its a suitably open-ended name for a record that presents a side of mathew jonson you have never heard before.

b1: royal mix by dirk leyers. dirk submits a striking take on the title disregarding structure entirely, turning it into a submarinal practical knowledge, stadium ready!
b2: reedo mix by the maertini brothers. the mix they rendered is pure love! laid back, with a variation on the vocal neither angie nor €ric were prepared for, listen closely to the bassline!

ilija rudman shouldnt need an introduction as for the last few years he has been releasing a constant stream of dance music under different guises. an analogue and vinyl purist his productions are always to the highest standard and electric minds is pleased to be working with the croatian producer once again. ilija delivers two bumper tracks for the a side of this release, most definitely a nod to the 80s boogie sound with both productions thumping with bass throughout. for the b side we welcome michael j collins who recently released his ep through electric minds alongside ly sander. since working with electric minds, michael has been extremely busy remixing for the likes of swayzak, moodymanc as well as releasing an ep for hypercolour and working on many more releases for several berlin based labels. michael brings his signature 4/4 house beats to the remix, a raw dubby and psychedelic house take on the original. all in all a great package that is sure to appeal to house and disco heads alike.
