debut record of collaborative project between multi-instrumentalists acronym & kali malone. an ep recorded using buchla 200 series modular synthesizer as the foundation. deep, electronic, just intonation, rhythmically-driven music.

as the timing appears to be right while summer just made it’s entrance it seemed only appropriate for the release of another single.
the idea behind the release was conceived when digging for records through paris while touring a couple of years ago during a conversation with a vinyl monger discussing 70’s pop-funk pakistani composers.
since the inspiration as well as the records sampled for both of the tracks were picked up from the “city of lights” it seemed only appropriate for mononome to finally collaborate with parisian label and long-time friends stillmuzik for a release.
“loralai” evolves around a feel-good uptempo groove emphasizing on the sample while “besima” is based mainly on mononome’s characteristic drum sounds, leaving an essence of psychedelia in the background.
available in 7” vinyl limited to 300 copies via stillmuzik.

back in 1995 while living on the west coast, at the peak of the rave experience, dj spun and dhyan moller recorded a bunch of live tracks, without any sequencer, all direct to cassettes. spun aka jason drummond, reached out last spring after rediscovering all the cassettes and asked us if wed be interested in releasing some of the tunes. jason shipped us the cassettes and after a good transferring session, we decided we had to release all the tracks under a 3lp set. this stuff is fire. we still love dj spun and dhyan moller!

ceremony in the stillness is the new album from a-sun amissa - released september 14th via gizeh records and consouling sounds. for its fourth full-length, a-sun amissa plunges deeper than before. guitars come to the fore. heavy, distorted chords are present from the off, complemented by desolate ambient passages of sound. the claustrophobic atmospheres remain but combine with a new density and sonic experimentation to present a huge leap forward in structure and composition
