with the sounds of seba still fond in the memory, nu directions returns after a brief haitas. the next release comes in the form of a split 12 from 2 burgeoning production outfits that are causing a stir on the drum & bass scene of present, june miller and heavy1.
both tracks have seen support from some of the scenes biggest tastemakers, with andy c, klute, rockwell and kasra all spinning regularly in their sets over the last few months.
nice price deal !!! following on from the likes of maya jane coles and t.williams, next to release on ever cultured hypercolour off shoot hypeltd is toronto beatsmith kevin mcphee. with releases on labels like idle hands and nakedlunch in 2011, this man has established himself as one of the finest and freshest producers of the year. here turning in four more original cuts, mcphees fascination with house apparently continues apace. mcphee very much has his own fine grain analogue aesthetic… this most delightful ep only confirms that.
alter ego have brought the rukus with this release and is pretty much standard for these london based producers. this has sold really well on promo so dont miss out on this one.
in mos ferrys eyes mikael stavostrands no turning back(mfp024) release at the end of 2006 still marks a highlight of his minimal techno period - and this is not only because of big bullys unmistakable vocals. now, none other than daniel sanchez (mumbling yeah) takes up the subject once again and with his no turning back remix he picks up where the krause duo started tastefully back then. daniels 12 minutes remix relies totally on an energetic rolling groove and puts the vocals always precisely when others would think it cant get more driving. the second remix was made by mikael stavostrand himself and is a straight and spatial welldesigned dj tool. for his own re-interpretation big bully got reinforcement through the argentinean odnu and heads more towards dub techno. these are three very succeeded remixes, which awake the desire to listen one more time to the original (despite the title)
>no turning back< has been clearly declared as the choice cut by the fans and djs everywhere.
first remix comes from the wighnomy brothers, who deliver a pure sunset rubdown.
on the flip the mole delivers a remix that defines what the term deep should mean to folks out there.
after colors release, one of the most remixed, re edited, bootlegged & successful purple music release by alfred azzetto, here comes the new smash, originally promoted at the last years miami conference as instrumental near the ocean (no turning back). this time we thought we dont wait till everybody make his own version and bootleg it again!! for this project we looked out for something special and we found it. we are proud to welcome robin s. with here unmistakable voice on this project. if someone of you already enjoyed or experienced an italian marriage dinner... with all the taste and fantastic food on the table... this is what this project offers. nuff said... enjoy!!!!!!

already supported and played by djulz, mathias kaden, brothers vibe, tadeo, falko brocksieper... rosario is back to esperanza with our beloved franco cinelli. evolving on every single release, franco makes a strong comeback after his warehouse ep. the a side >green & blue<, that also names the ep, shows us his style in full effect with grooooovy percussive hints, analog touches, old school flavour and lot of sunrays. on the flipside, damian schwartz reworks the track turning it into a trippy detroit house affair perfect for every real >party lover< (yeah, for the ones who stay until late). >blue before sunrise< is the track for late night, sunset, sunrise, afterparty, warmup, etc. versatile, isnt it? but such a beautiful relaxed atmospheric song should be part of any classy session. enjoy the beats! its limited to vinyl and just 500 copies!.
clark drops his excellent new album. dont expect the lullabies and emotional epics of the last album body riddle, turning dragon is a smasher. hard, deep, continuously evolving and gritty tracks, aimed at contorting your body on the dancefloor or just contorting your brain. this is an album that you could almost call techno, but techno with the a.d.d. detail pushed as far as it can go
berlin a melting pot of cultures: in this episode: sweden & usa. mikael stavoestrand is recognized as a minimal structural engineer for a longer time now – both as solo artist and in variant collaborations. on >no turning back< his co-worker for the vocal component is once again big bully with a softly pushing voice right above mikael s bouncy, but clean beats. on b1 the a-side track is remixed by krause duo. in contrast to the original they replaced most of the vocals by an e-piano line with warm and dub-like harmonies. in the end b2 arises the question: >where did you go?<: the answer is … maybe like every monday: dancing
nice deep and funky groover on a side flipside with a tribalistic workout with nice synth riff vocals by chez damier, please notice: played by supa dupa dj ricardo villalobos
kwame ba aka fenyan, music producer, keyboardist and professional dancer based in france. coming from a senegalese bloodline and growing up in martinique (west indies), fényan is deeply rooted in black music. epitome of a childhood in the west indies. a caribbean tale about kreyol langage, about legacy and resilience, about turning victimhood into proactivity.
this release kicks off hardrock strikers new label imprint supreme striker which will feature reworkings and re-imaginings from himself and others. part one brings 2 previously unreleased up - tempo jams to vinyl for a limited time. first up is cetu javu, amazing spanish band from the 80s close to depeche mode best 80s production with the seminal, anthemic & lost b side por favor (original goes for 500 euros!) reworked as mano a mano into a massive dance floor teaser that totally goes off when its dropped. while on the flip, ready for the worlds funk-fuelled classic sheila named ready 4 shyla is cut up and supercharged in true striker style into a deadly dj weapon. striker takes and rips it apart, turning their track into a massive chugger thats building up into one of the most anticipated vocal breakdowns. big is an understatement. both tracks are respectfully edited, lovingly re-mastered and cut loud at 45 rpm for maximum dance floor pleasure and djdelight. dont hold back!
brioche announces himself on the young toulouse-based arts collective shawarma records. this tape is a collection of 303 pummelled jams, shredded fresh from the spike and already turning a little fuzzy. hard hitting, machine-driven kick drums, breathy hats and fired up and squelchy stomach acid combine to create a monstrous, floor destroying club weapon.
