this new edition on the everlasting tresor records catalogue marks the return of pacou, more than five years after the release of his last full ep, sense. three recently produced tracks in the true sound that defines the work of the german techno expert, meet a remix of �a texture�. initially released on his 1998 symbolic language album, �a texture� is a distinctive interlude, so supreme that it remains a tresor favorite.

when tresor founder dimitri hegemann stumbled into a former bank vault in east berlin on march 13th 1991, he had little idea that the space he had unlocked would fast become one of berlin s most influential and enduring techno clubs. �we didn�t know what would happen 10 months later,� he says. �we signed a lease for a year. which eventually got renewed for another three months, and another three months��
as tresor celebrates its 25th anniversary with this work of artists from the us, germany, china, france, austria, italy and the uk, it is worth dwelling on how the cultural conditions that birthed detroit techno � economic neglect and broken industry � were mirrored by the disused bunkers and impromptu parties of post-unification east berlin, where techno found new, vigorous expression.

for its 303rd release, tresor records is glad to present a commissioned work by donato dozzy. rome based production maestro and dj extraordinaire donato dozzy is unanimously considered as an illustrious leading light in all techno artforms. along his long career and extensive discography, dozzy has proven to use his instruments most interesting ways, always re-inventing his music, always presenting new approaches to both the deeper and the more rhythmic forms of electronic music. it was self-evident to tresor records to enroll donato dozzy�s talents for this assignment, a nod to the seminal roland tb-303 bass synthesizer. the result is a relentless collection of radical, propulsive and bleeding-heart acid tracks. donato dozzy wishes to dedicate this work to his lifelong friend filo.
