after the successful mind trip ep, pulse msc releases its 4th release, a 4 track ep by matthieu faubourg with a stunning remix by the almighty black loops. with multiple kinds of sounds and influences, scenario is a beautiful dedication to lebanon. the french producer was inspired by a trip there and has created these 4 pieces. the result is wonderful, colorful and conducive to the imagination. expect to be strayed until you find your way. hope is another important theme in that musical journey, well symbolized in the sentimental tune yaret (which means -i hope in lebanese arabic).

the new joey negro album produced with love is now available across all formats but as the double cd contained 20 tracks it wasnt possible to fit everything onto the 3lp version so the space time ep is a new vinyl ep containing some of these tracks that weren t ready in time to make it on to the vinyl lp. first up is distorting space time, a drawn out dubby, jazzy, spacey track that suggests a heavy arthur russell influence, one that is already a firm favourite of gilles peterson, louie vega and françois kevorkian i recognise is a jazzy boogie track with kaidi taitum on keys full of spacey effects and features sacha williamson on vocals. dancing into the stars features london s best disco party starters horse meat disco on co-production duties and angela johnson on vocals. this is the unreleased extended mix that comes in at over 10 minutes and is a full on dan hartman style modern disco production. completing the package is the black loops remix of wont let go who takes linda clifford s vocals and a killer bassline into deep house territory.

the first installment of cacao, cwhirring loops. don t mess gets a treatment from italo-german pair black loops. amping up the groove and adding distorted eerie vocals, the remix keeps the initial disco appeal with an added dose of deep tech grit, destined for late night dancentral american rooted label with a knack for refreshing house & techno flavours, showcases five tracks that ooze exotic dopeness. the duo k.e.e.n.e. strut their noted production skills, kicking off with the disco house hybrid don t mess. with a permeating vocal hook and scintillating synths, a relentless groove shapes the deeply immersive arrangement. who stole the soul offers up an exhilarating tech house exploration, pairing spacious percussion with undulating synths. resulting in a playful and versatile melody with a wandering vocal, the cut comes as is as well as purely instrumental. and.id jumps on the remix, increasing the deepness factor and instilling an almost underwater-like ambiance through whizzing synths and e floor antics.

optimo trax is an offshoot label of optimo music for tracks aimed at djs/dancefloors. yes, we know there are too many record labels already, but we felt an overriding desire to start another one as so much music that didnt seem quite right for optimo music (i.e. music that was specifically designed for dancing) kept coming our way. like the parent label, optimo trax will release music by new artists and excavate forgotten classics.
