embezzlement society takes us back to the early days of 80s hip-hop with his ‘rough quarters ep. on his record the man from belfast heavily relies on funk-based drum loops as were popular in the glorious days of old school hip-hop. the results are two super casual tracks with a cool hip-house attitude just perfect for hip-house lover drei farben house who took the chance to contribute a remix in his slick and smooth style, merging the raw drums with some tender rhodes. tenderpark regular roman rauch finishes off the ep and slows down the tempo in his remix concentrating on the originals of the samples and displaying his mastery with the mpc once more. as always all tracks have been mastered and cut by helmut erler at dubplates & mastering.

rummage in some boxes of my favourite record store i found a cover that made me curious. l kubic & tagträumer² - the only thing in this world and on the flipside a remix by alle farben. when placing the needle at the beginning of the vinyl the first sounds were very strange. i thought that must be a record from the 60s lost in the tech-house box but than a straight beat turned everything different. a piano melody slowly sat down firmly in my ear and i was longing to know where the journey takes me. after a while an acidline pushed everything and i was sure at this time this is not a normal 4/4 tech-house record. alle farben remixed the themes very playful and i heard that he gives the elements more pressure for the club. so at the end i bought this one and i cannot imagine taking this unique record ever again out of my record case.

the sailorman ep is probably the most personal in alle farbens discography up to now in which he turns cherished pieces of music history and poetry with great love for detail and transforms them into contemporary club music. with it he shows his preferences for classic singing, lyric, the coast and the sea. through the clash of the unusual alle farben produces again and again a successful symbiosis and creates a unique stimulus. with the remix ep alle farben rallies round a few of his companions oft he last years and a familiar colourful musical mixture came into being.

played at panorama bar !! already played by hans nieswandt, vera, serafin, matthias kaden... drei farben house bringt den soul in geschmeidigen oberflaechen und sanft leuchtenden toenen zu uns. crew neck ist in der tat eine wunderbar runde house-affaere, die mit dezenten discound soul-referenzen glaenzt und ruhig, aber kraftvoll ihre kreise zieht. und auch sartorial realism schneidert ein herrlich funky beat-kostuem und schmueckt es mit klassischen house- chords und traumhaften frauen-vocals aus. zwei deepe house-bomben und eine gelungene fortsetzung des tenderpark musikverständnisses.

vinyl only! drei farben house macht den aufschlag für tenderpark 001. wer bei den strings auf off white an mark kinchen denkt, liegt sicher nicht ganz falsch. ansonsten regiert eine formale strenge mit dezidiert angeschlagenen chords, die ihre wurzeln im house dennoch jederzeit fühlbar machen. petit standard ist wunderbar fuffiger, aber dennoch knackiger house, für den unser mastering engineer helmut erler den begriff soul-house angebracht fand. wir würden ihm da keinesfalls widersprechen. ein gelungener auftakt für tenderpark

polytone remains in deep territories and has signed two of the most exciting tracks of drei farben house (brut!) so far. on final call the berlin resident succeeds in building a bridge between minimal aesthetics and the musicality of deep house which has rarely been heard in this form. in this 8-minute track a whole series of musical themes are flashing yet held together by a lot of instinctive feeling. on looking back to control drei farben house is just as deep and melodically interesting and again relies on unusual track structures. in his remix matthias vogt from motorcitysoul works out the chords and melody themes of the original even more and turns final call into an exciting, swelling affair whereas newcomer baldo (dubhe) transforms the original track into a brilliant and wonderfully classic piece of dubtechno.

after a string of fantastic releases on the much missed label scheinselbstaendig and force tracks, hamburg s best hidden talent drei farben house debuts on brut! on the a side, on my side (daso remix) comes in the form of an energetic remix by the excellent daso. following from his successful release on connaisseur, daso adventures himself again on techno terrains turning the lighthearted original into a moody dancefloor track. on the b side, drei farben house does what he knows best: to provide us with a delicate balance of minimal house and pop sensibilities. the original of on my side comes in a more uplifting way bringing us the brighter moments of the windy autumn days and nightly affairs finishes the whole in a more dramatic manner, full of emotional strings and deep chords. drama queens now is your turn to dance! de:bug loves it
