The record leads with Derrick Carter, dubbing out Alexander East’s “Jest 4 Me” into a signature boompty romp. On A2, Audio Soul Project takes a swing at remixing Chris Udoh’s “Ready for You-, shuffling and strengthening the groove that supports the invigorated vocal. The entire B-side belongs to David Duriez who marries acid motifs to the tidy, bustling frame of San France Disco’s “Bringing Back Sweat to the Dancefloor” for even sweatier times. This three track EP is mastered by Lawrie at Curve Pusher, London - who’s been busy lately putting his magic touch on music for artists like Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones, and Wolf + Lamb. Each copy of the vinyl sampler for When Bad People Cook Good Food Vol. 4 comes with a download code for the full 16 track digital album. This latest Fresh Meat is a veritable feast of sleek and buoyant house music that can enjoyed over several sittings or in one cohesive (and delightfully gluttonous) meal.
