It's now been several years since Tristan Longworth AKA The Third Degree got it into his head to do some incredible Northern stomper style covers of two very big pop tracks. Duffy's 'Mercy' and Kylie's 'Can't get You Out of My Head'. DJ / Producer Smoove heard The Third Degree versions and literally begged Longworth for the stems so he could make his own versions for DJ sets. The Smoove mixes were born and have been a main stay in dj sets for many years now. A renowned producer - Longworth put together a crack team of musicians for The Third Degree including the incredible vocals of Jon Allen for the lead, transforming the slightly saccharine (though highly enjoyable) pop of the original artist versions into something altogether more gritty and real.
