But it wasn't just his flamboyant personality, eerily good looks and enigmatic stage presence that made him one of the most popular artists of his time: he was a prolific songwriter & poet, and an inventive singer and guitarist to boot.
In 1972 EMI signed this remarkable artist and created his own label for him: T. Rex Wax Co., on which he would release six albums in as many years, until Bolan's fatal car crash in 1977. This compilation is a collection of all the singles he cut for the label, and Music On Vinyl is the first to release it on vinyl.[info from mov]
