Said track, 'Ann Summer' pairs raw and heavyweight kick drums with dainty synth stabs as scraping percussion bring a grimy, rough edged feel to proceedings. Gliding along the top are some well crafted wooden hits and the resulting track demands to be played in some darkened basement.

What's more, the 'dumb bitches' vocal loop that occasionally pops up only serves to bring the track even more to life. On his own, Azada, who has been producing serious house music since 2011, turns in 'It's, Uh, Like This' - a brooding and techno inclined stomper with bristling percussion and the rawest of textures. It channels plenty of warehouse vibes in its dusty make up and confirms Azada to be a unique voice in the modern scene.

Finally, Roberts goes it alone on 'Pig In The City', slowly building a heads down groove from the most deft looping of icy hi hats, rattling metallic synth chords and an obscured vocal that lurks in the shadows forever drawing you ever more into the dark heart of the track.

As always with Initials, this is an EP of raw and fad free floor music, that deals in inviting texture and tension like few others can.
