In 1988, Soda Stereo released their fourth studio album Doble Vida. This time, they got the help of none other than Carlos Alomar for the production. The renowned Puerto Rican guitarist has a history of collaborations with David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Paul McCartney. This collaboration introduced a variety of new genres and influences, including funk, soul, and R&B. After fully recording the album in New York City, the band entered a new stage in their career, allowing them to break into the US market. The tour to promote the album spanned the entire American continent and the album sold a million copies worldwide.
Doble Vida is available as a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on transparent vinyl and includes an insert.[info sheet from distr.]
