Following his appearance (albeit in remixed form) on the debut 12- from Keyboard Masher s Pleasure Unit imprint, Norwegian eccentric Skatebard is given the honour of releasing the label s second EP. Apparently all three tracks are vintage cuts from the archive, previously unheard but original recorded straight to tape in his home studio. There s naturally much to enjoy, beginning with the Scandolearic-goes-rave synth-house madness of -React 2 Rhythm- - all urgent, swirling beats, epic synthesizer melodies and mid- 90s US garage influences. There s more surging, nu-disco goes-house fare to be found on -It Goes On & On (The Bassline)-, while -Pingu- is a joyous chunk of chugging Scandolearica blessed with tactile shaker percussion and a jaunty, rock solid synth bassline.
