Sebastien San “Bouncing EP” – Ab Initio (AB02) Press Release
In September Sebastien San proudly presented the start of his new label Ab Initio. After releases on such esteemed labels like Planet E, Poker Flat, We Play House Recordings, Echocord… Sebastien set up Ab Initio as a means to have an imprint for his own steady output of quality house music. With four killer tracks in his own signature style the label got off to a flying start and punters were already looking forward to more releases on Ab Initio.
And so here it is, Ab Initio 02, once again a four tracker, and once again all winners for discerning DJ’s and fans alike. On the A-side we find ‘Bouncing’, which takes off immediately and leaves no room for error : Sebastien San means Detroit-styled business with this one from start to finish. ‘Arp Madness’ is up next, with the title being a bit of a give-away. Arpeggiated sounds are throughout the track and make for an absolutely mind-transcending experience that will please both house and techno fans. One can already hear Levon Vincent beating this one to death.
Flipping over to the B-side ‘Renaissance’ starts off with a Chicago-styled beat and moves up a gear with trademark Sebastien San bass lines and strings. A perfect tracks for those moody moments or early morning closed-eyes dance floor hours. Finishing Ab Initio 02 in style is ‘Mirage’, blowing your mind with bleeps from heaven and a perfect marriage of chords and strings. Musically this is Sebastien San at his very very best. A four-track winner!
