Based in Arkhangelsk, North Russia, Pak0 has consistently focused his productions towards the more weighty strands of Dance Music, shifting through experimentation with Techno, Garage and Drum 'n Bass and releasing records on the likes of Sub-Line and 2019 Recordings.
CB005 is a showcase of estimable cross-genre pieces packed with considerable power. 'Legacy' kicks things off with thick and physical drums that sit atop a spearing bass pattern while stabs and vocal chops are used with astute sparsity. 'Work It Out' combines concrete kicks and brash hats with a jutting piano riff that works to keep momentum charging throughout.
Also included in the package, available digitally is 'High Street' that drives a creeping bass pattern under roadside field recordings and tightly swung hat sequences.
With a busy schedule including shows with the likes of Zed Bias and Lokiboi, progress shows no sign of slowing for Pak0 and propelled by their 5th release it's fair to say the same applies to Capital Bass.
