Straight back with the deepness! Moralez, up and coming producer from Russia, gets his first EP on Gigolo. Leaving everything unnecessary behind, Moralez delivers stripped back, analogue House somewhere on a highway leading to the borders of Techno.

The A1, "Our House" is an ode to the drum machine and synth-laden beginnings of House. A cut-up vocal sample lies on top of the jacking pulse bass line, and subtle, mesmerizing pads. This is aimed straight at the dance floor: Moralez' minimalistic approach to house music on "Our House" results in powerful functionality. One for the Box!

The B-side sees Moralez use the same approach for a whole different theme. He takes Kings of the Universe's eclectic "Acid is the Answer" and sends it through his very own channels onto the floor. He strips the song to its bones and rebuilds it with a more functional, deeper sound. The bass line churning and driving but never quite opening all the way, leaving the 303 to be a stylistic, subtle method rather than an all-consuming freak-out: the result is a dangerous peak time tool that keeps its cool while all hell is breaking loose.

The EP is rounded off by a Digital Bonus track called "Rock Your House" that fittingly describes what Moralez is doing on this release: Rocking it.[txt from ]
