Third album Young Desire, again captures the fervour witnessed on Lapkos live shows. Taking in themes of vulnerability and anxiety beneath hardened exteriors, aching feelings, pressure and confusion, the album is a mental trip back to the schoolyard, where tough guy antics and leather armor cant hide the convulsions underneath. Theres new depth and dynamic in the bands expression, fitting for a gang of seasoned rock musicians. These two art school dropouts and metal worker have come a long way from Harjavalta (though they still gather there to rehearse and play) and have evolved as a band and as friends.
