From her first single "Muscles" to her first album Sexy Planet and through numerous featurings (Myth Syzer, Chassol, Jazzy Bazz, Flavien Berger...), Bonnie Banane sings mischievous, absurd and sensual songs with her own sense of derision. Trained in the dramatic arts, she brings a theatricality to a genre whose legitimacy is constantly questioned and often orphaned: French R&B. She infuses into each of her track a tension reminiscent of Brigitte Fontaine’s surrealism and D’Angelo’s sultriness. For her first record, Bonnie Banane has surrounded herself with many producers she is close to, such as Para One, Varnish La Piscine, Loubenski, Théo Lacroix, Ponko & Prinzly and Monomite.
