Strut continues its celebration of 25 years since the heyday of acid house as respected DJ / producer Richard Sen (Padded Cell, Bronx Dogs) follows up his acclaimed compilation of early UK house music and acid, >This Aint Chicago<, with an exclusive limited edition 12 inch featuring previously unreleased edits.

For the lead track, we feature Bang The Party’s perennial UK house anthem, ‘Bang Bang You’re Mine’ in a previously unreleased re-work by the original disco remix legend, Tom Moulton. Bang The Party’s Leslie Lawrence remembers, “Tom did this for us around the time of the original release and it’s basically constructed from three different mixes of the track: the Vocal Remix, the Vocal Dub and the Drum Dub. He threads it all together as only he knows how.” On the flip, we feature May’s ‘Love Me Baby’, a DIY house outing on UK indie label Rhythmbeat. Producer P. Mac explains, “Myself and my brother produced as Rivrock and Moorock (R.A.W). I met May, Mavis Clarke, at a singing competition in London and we recorded two tracks with her: ‘Love Me Baby’ was our take on US garage - house recorded during downtime at various studios in South London.” Rounding off the trio of goodies, we feature a new Richard Sen edit of a track not featured on the ‘This Ain’t Chicago’ album, ‘Future III’, an early deep acid outing by UK sound system collective, K.C.C.
