The DFA house, disco, and techno veterans have long been friends, sharing bills around the world, vocalists on records, engineers on mixing boards. For a while now, they ve also been collaborating in the studio, and it s with tremendous honor that we get to be the label that presents the world with the fruits of their labors. Souls on Ice is a snarled, fierce, aggressive four-tracker, all of it recorded live, which gives it a distinct loopiness and patience. The EP starts off on a bumpin techno tip and slowly drifts towards a spacier, groovier house sound.
