Ephemerals new album Chasin Ghosts is the follow up to their breakthrough album *Nothing is easy* and looks set to further build on the fast growing UK and international fanbase that saw them tour their debut extensively, including shows at key festivals like Glastonbury, Bestival and Mostly Jazz and score a sync in hit US TV show Homeland. Pressing on transparent vinyl.
The band recorded chasin ghosts as they perform their live shows with Hillman Mondegreen on guitar, Wolfgang Valbrun on vocals, James Graham on keys, Adam Holgate on bass and Jimi Needles on drums. Their incredible horn section courtesy of band members Damian McLean-Brown and Thierry Lemaitre were backed up on record by Cordicella Strings adding an extra layer of emotion to this already heavy recording.
The recording sessions took place in January 2015 – recorded live to tape at London’s Cowshed studios over 3 days. Co-incidentally this was the same time that You Made Us Change - their second single - was getting picked up across the blogosphere and becoming a # 1 Hype Machine record and sparking the first wave of media and major label interest in the band.
This breakthrough led to increased radio play on BBC 6 music from Gilles Peterson and Craig Charles, on Radio 1 from Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart, Friction and Target and a playlist on 1Xtra as well as support from BBC Radio 2 and 4 plus playlists on Radio Nova in France and Radio 6 in Holland.
